RECORDS
The voice of Scott Howard has become synonymous with Georgia sports and in particular, with Bulldog football and basketball. Howard returns for his 15th season behind the microphone at Georgia basketball games. First a color analyst with legendary voice Larry Munson, Howard will be working his 12th season as the Dogs’ primary play-by-play announcer. Howard had been the sports director at Athens radio stations WNGC-WGAU for 12 years before joining ISP Sports in 2009. A 1984 Georgia graduate, he is now the school’s primary play-byplay football announcer, taking over for the recently retired Munson, after calling road games since the 2007 season. Howard was also play-by-play announcer for Georgia baseball from 1990-96.

Former Georgia basketball captain Mark Slonaker joined the broadcast team in 2009 as a color analyst. The 1980 UGA graduate went straight into the coaching profession, landing first at The Lovett School in Atlanta for three seasons. He ascended into the collegiate ranks, for six years as an assistant at Georgia State and then for six more at his alma mater under coach Hugh Durham. Slonaker then became head coach at Pensacola Junior College before taking an identical post at Mercer in 1997. The New Jersey native was named National Coach of the Year in 2003 after the Bears enjoyed the biggest turnaround of any team in the country, from 6-23 to 23-6. Since July of 2008, Slonaker has served as a Regional Director on the staff of the UGA Development Office.
