Shacobia Barbee was selected 36th overall by the New York Libery in the 2016 WNBA Draft. Barbee is the fourth Lady Bulldog in four years to be drafted, joining Anne-Marie Armstrong, Jasmine James and Jasmine Hassell.

eorgia Basketball has a long and storied history of putting players in the WNBA. The Lady Bulldogs’ 21 WNBA draft picks since 1999 is tied for fourth most among collegiate women’s basketball programs,
while UGA’s eight first--round draft picks in the past 17 years is the fifth--best total of any school in the nation. In all, an impressive 41 former Georgia players have gone on to play professionally, including 25 players who have earned roster spots in the WNBA.
