Transplant experience that changes lives

One of the largest of its kind, the MedStar Georgetown Transplant Institute gives patients suffering from organ failure rare access to a range of pioneering transplant

versity researchers allows us to offer patients a portfolio

In the new pavilion, we will elevate our multidisciplinary transplant care by designating operating rooms with

transplant-specific technology and capabilities. A special 12-bed transplant ICU and 30-room IMC will support both pre- and post-transplant patients, and patient

rooms will prioritize comfort. We also seek to establish a virtual center for living donation to support organ donor and recipient families, and to appropriately recognize their sacrifice.

The expectations for MedStar Georgetown University Hospital are extremely high. We have many really spectacular surgeons and surgical practices here. The additional operative rooms with the redesigned facilities will be absolutely incredible. — MATTHEW COOPER, MD, DIRECTOR, KIDNEY AND PANCREAS TRANSPLANTATION MEDSTAR GEORGETOWN TRANSPLANT INSTITUTE
