WELCOME TO GEOMAG EDUCATION Geomag Education offers a series of sets for classroom use, helping pupils in primary and middle schools to enjoy as well as understand basic geometry and physics and so much more. Using Geomag magnetic rods, spheres, panels and mechanical elements, students are guided through a series of tasks found on the cards included in each set.

MAGNETISM Our magnetic rods make building easy and fun and make sure that every aspect of the learning process is inclusive and accessible to students of all ages the world over. Magnetism is key to our philosophy of “play and learn because, not only does it help make construction fun, but it introduces students at an early age to the fascinating world of physics and gives them an important insight into its technological, engineering and mechanical applications. Geometric terms and concepts such as 2D, 3D, net and symmetry will all now make sense.

With our practical teaching sets, students learn by doing. By first creating, exploring and reflecting on concrete models and structures, students then begin to intuitively understand abstract ideas.Geomag Education sets encourage active and collaborative learning. Working in groups enhances problem-solving skills, builds communication know-how, promotes self-esteem and encourages a child’s overall learning development.

STEM LEARNING

An interdisciplinary approach to learning where students apply Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) in contexts that reflect real-life experiences and applications.

SCIENCE

TECHNOLOGY

Children who are scientifically literate understand how to use life, Earth, and physical science skills and processes to understand the natural world. Students understand the need for existing technologies, how new advances in science can be engineered, and how math is used to communicate scientific information.

Children who are technologically literate understand that technology innovates new resources or manipulates our current natural resources to create and satisfy human needs. Students manage technology and learn how to use various technological tools in order to solve science, engineering, and math problems.

ENGINEERING Children who are literate in engineering understand how past and present technologies were developed through engineering design processes. Students also understand how the application of science and math is used to assist in the creation of these technologies for future engineering tools.

4

MATHEMATICS Children who are mathematically literate understand how to analyse, reason and communicate ideas effectively. Students can also ask questions, formulate ideas, and solve problems deriving from math in science, technology, and engineering situations.

GEOMAG EDUCATION AND STEM

Our project encourages STEM learning as pupils work together to find multiple solutions to different problems in a creative and stimulating environment. SCIENCE

TECHNOLOGY

A compass is a tool that enables you to physically see the otherwise invisible magnetic fields. Understand how to increase and decrease the push and pull magnetic forces and to put these to good use.

Concepts of stress and tension come to life as you build your own bridge model. Explore the effect of triangulation on structures.

MATHEMATICS

Explore the use of ballbearings to create low-friction movement. Combine rotational movement with push and pull magnetic forces.

Transform 2D nets into 3D solids and build your own symmetrical flower garden. A spinning top with five colors becomes a tool for exploring statistics and probability.
