Großtagespflege Villa Glückskind Under the sea

„I like to be under the sea, in an octopus’s garden in the shade”

With the theme “under the sea” we and the children from Villa Glückskind prepared an unforgettable summer party which took place on 10th August 2021. Our children are really fascinated by the under the sea themed bathroom in the Villa, which gave us the idea to focus on the underwater world for a couple of weeks. king jelly fish and crabs out of paper plates. This is a good idea, if you have left over paper plates and no use for them. But not only paper plate animals were on our list, also a big banner with hand printed fishes, octopuses, and crabs. ved getting their hands messy, especially after they heard that there was going to be their favourite colour to paint with. On the day of the summer party, the colourful decorations and different booths provided the party with a lovely atmosphere. Our adventure started off with the book: “Octopus’s Garden by Ringo Starr”. We visited Mr. Octopus in his home to find out more about him and his other friends. This gave us the opportunity to become creative in different ways. We pretended to be underwater animals and tried to walk sideways like a crab, to wiggle arms like an octopus, and move our hands like a fish.
