Working with the Attribute Table 1) Additional columns or fields may be added to the attribute table by right-‐clicking on the layer and selecting Open Attribute Table. 2) Press the table option icon , select Add Field and enter the field parameters (Name, Type, and Field Properties). 3) To calculate the area of the building footprint, open the attribute table, right-‐click at the top of the Area column and select Calculate Geometry. Press YES to the first dialogue box. 4) The Calculate Geometry dialogue box will appear, fill in Area for Property, and make sure the Units are Square Meters [sq. m], press OK.
