• GBU youth members grades 2-12 (up to age 22)
• Attend age-appropriate online classes (through Outschool) on leadership, community and financial literacy
• Meet to create and execute age-appropriate community projects with support from GBU
• Attend virtual workshops to learn about different community organizations and how they work
• Earn points for participation that can be exchanged for education or community grants after completing the program
PLUS: Earn points for the great things you do already through organizations such as the Girls/Boy/Eagle Scouts, church groups, volunteer groups, etc.

Section 2: Funding The Future
Youth Leadership Points Program
The GBU Life Future Community Leaders Program is a new part of GBU’s commitment to our youth and their education. The best way to help the communities we care about is to help foster a sense of community in our youth. It is our hope that GBU youth members will grow up to be advocates and strong leaders both for GBU and for the communities they live in. GBU youth members earn points for participation in the program that can be redeemed for additional education grant money upon high school graduation.
Sage Tuition Rewards
GBU members earn points (determined by GBU) for loyalty-related activities
• Opening a new policy or annuity
• Annually for continuing to pay premiums or as long as the policy is in force
• Renewal of annuity contracts
Points equate to dollar amount that can be used at participating colleges throughout the US, up to one full year’s tuition (annual redemption limit - 25% of tuition)
• Points can be given to children (including step or adopted, grandchildren or nieces and nephews)
• Points can be divided between multiple children; more than one relative can contribute points for a child
• Any balance of points can be used toward tuition at participating colleges

can build a portfolio during their High School freshman year
• Portfolio can be shared with any or all participating colleges
• Students can easily apply to multiple participating colleges through their portfolio account
• Students in the program can be considered for early admission
GBU FOUNDATION COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS
• Freshman Scholarship (4 years) $6,000 over 4 years
• Undergraduate Scholarship (1-3 years) $1,000 per year
• Graduate Scholarship (1-2 years) $1,000 per year
• Two-Year Scholarship - technical schools, nursing schools and community colleges (1-2 years) $1,000 per year
• Bert Waltenberger Memorial Scholarship - $6,000 over 4 years
• Clarence O. Affelt Architecture/Fine Art Memorial Scholarship - $2,500 over 4 years

Section 3: Enhancing Education And Wellness
Language Learning Reimbursement
GBU will reimburse 50% of the cost of any completed language course or program that you use to learn another language, up to $250 annually! This includes language apps such as Duolingo or Babbel.

GBU Driver Safety Program Reimbursement
For Teens
These online courses teach teens safe driving skills and the rules of the road while building confidence. GBU will reimburse teens up to $100 for any driver safety course. Visit driversed.com to find a course specific to your state.

GBU Get Fit + Optimity – Earn rewards for taking care of your health!
GBU Life knows that health and wellness are important to you. We'd like to introduce you to Optimity, an app-based platform that rewards your healthy efforts. From stretching to drinking water, Optimity helps motivate different activities, earning you gift cards to favorites including Amazon, Starbucks, Sephora, Hello Fresh and more. The Optimity app is now free for you as a GBU Life member.
The app also gives you exercise, eating, mental wellness and financial tips and activities that allow you to earn even more points.

Section 4: Making a Difference
TEAM TO TEAM
Funding
to help members with costs associated with youth sports teams and activities
Any team with 5 or more GBU members can apply for up to a $5,000 team sponsorship.
- Youth members must be participants on the team (not parents or siblings)
- Limit one sponsorship award per year per team
- Team must complete a community project (such as a food drive, etc.)
- Must acknowledge GBU sponsorship in some way
Any individual GBU member may submit a sponsorship request to GBU for up to $250.

- Must acknowledge GBU sponsorship in some way (logo on uniform, in program book, sign on field, etc.)
GIVE BACK GROUPS
When you identify a way to help out in your community and find like-minded people to help in the effort, you form a Give Back Group. Your group then submits an application for your project and selects one of the two ways listed below that GBU will support:
GBU Matching Donations-If you are working to raise funds for an organization that impacts your local community, GBU will match the funds you raised up to $1,000 per GBU member in your group (max. $5,000 per group).
Project Start-up Funds-If you are planning your own project to help your local community, GBU will reimburse you for expenses for your project up to $250 per member in your group ($1,000 max).

ONE HOUR AT A TIME
GBU promotes and encourages charitable and community involvement. In support of GBU members’ individual volunteer work, GBU will provide a donation to the member’s qualified charitable organization.
A GBU member may volunteer with TWO separate, qualifying 501(c)(3) organizations per calendar year. GBU will donate $15 for each volunteered hour to the GBU member’s two qualified charitable organizations. Annual qualified volunteer hours: minimum 5 hours, maximum 10 hours per each organization. Hours may not be carried over year to year. Collectively, GBU will donate a maximum of $1,000 annually to a qualified local charity, and $5,000 annually to a qualified national charity. Youth 3 Pay Life Insurance Series

GBU's Youth 3 Pay Life insurance is permanent life insurance that offers a lifetime of coverage for just three annual payments. Your child becomes a GBU member and remains a member as long as the policy is active. GBU members have access to special members-only discounts, events and contests as well as education, volunteer, scholarship and grant opportunities.
Cash Value Growth- Youth 3 Pay Life insurance accumulates cash value that can be borrowed against, with interest, or used to help your child secure education loans, mortgage down payments or for emergency situations. Dividends - Youth 3 Pay Life insurance is expected to earn dividends that can be used to purchase additional paid-up coverage, held with interest or paid out in cash.
Competitively Priced Coverage - Policy face values range from $5,000 to $50,000 for youth of current ages 0-17. Policy rates are based on age, gender and amount of coverage requested. Policy is paid in full in three annual payments.

Coverdell Education Savings Account
A Coverdell Education Savings Account (ESA) allows you to make nondeductible contributions on behalf of a child each year until the child reaches age 18*. Earnings generated on ESA contributions remain tax deferred. When a child uses ESA assets to pay for qualified education expenses, the contributions and earnings are distributed tax free.
*Age limit does not apply to special needs individuals.
Who Can Contribute
Anyone! Family members or nonfamily members can contribute to a child's ESA, as long as their modified adjusted gross income (MAGI) falls below or within the income limits for the year. Those who are eligible to contribute may give to more than one ESA on behalf of multiple children, not to exceed the annual contribution limit of $2,000 (or less depending on MAGI) per child. Likewise, any one child may not receive more than $2,000 total per year in ESA contributions.**
