INSURANCE THAT MAKES A DIFFERENCE At GBU Life (GBU), we specialize in life insurance and annuity products to help protect families and anchor retirements. We do things differently at GBU as we don’t have shareholders. We don’t have clients. Instead, we have members—members who come to GBU Life to help secure their futures, build their legacies and impact the communities around them. From the start, GBU Life has been member owned and member driven. As a not-for-profit company, we emphasize value—and values. Our members can realize their financial protection goals and give back to the people and causes that matter most to them. GBU-CAP-BR-1023 1

OWNERSHIP MATTERS … for financial well-being As a member-owned company, we keep our operating costs low. That translates into competitively priced life insurance, generous annuity rates and stable investment returns members can count on. Day-to-day and longterm, our focus remains squarely on maintaining the exceptional financial health that inspires trust and confidence among our members.

… for transparency Being member-driven, we don’t charge service or administrative fees. We don’t have teaser rates that change in the future. We just provide solid solutions designed by insurance and investment professionals and supported by dedicated service representatives.

… for good Giving back is at the heart of GBU Life. It starts with our longstanding commitment to charitable causes and volunteerism. But we don’t stop there. We empower members to make a difference in their communities through financial donations, volunteer opportunities and fundraising resources.

Plan for life

Secure the future

Launching a career. Getting married. Starting a family. Buying a home. With each milestone, financial protection becomes more important. Life insurance is a vital part of that protection, helping to provide security for loved ones if the unexpected happens.

While life doesn’t come with guarantees, fixed annuities do. Fixed annuities can add to your investments and are backed by an insurance company. They provide predictable growth along with the ability to turn savings into an income stream.

GBU Life recognizes that everyone has different needs, goals and financial considerations. That’s why we give members the flexibility to tailor their coverage to match their needs. From simple, shorter-term protection to plans that offer guaranteed growth and last a lifetime, we offer options at prices members can afford no matter where they are in life.

GBU Life annuities grow tax deferred until it is time to withdraw the funds or turn them into a regular paycheck you can’t outlive. Our annuities can not only be a good fit for securing retirements but also help members reach other long-term financial goals, such as buying a home or paying for higher education.

Annuity withdrawals for amounts over those allowed during guarantee period are subject to surrender charges and a market value adjustment as defined in the contract.

PROTECT WHAT MATTERS NOW Life insurance provides valuable financial security for loved ones. GBU life insurance products and comprehensive set of riders give members options to match their needs and life stages.

Select Choice Insurance Series: Term Life

Secure Life Insurance Series: Whole Life

An affordable choice for those just getting started, especially parents, term life provides protection for a set period of time. Coverage ends at age 95.

Whole life policies are permanent policies that provide a death benefit for one's lifetime while also building cash value and earning dividends. Coverage ends at age 121.

Select Choice Term: Premiums stay the same throughout the entire term, making budget planning simple. Moreover, all or part of the policy can be converted to permanent insurance at any point. Lowcost, high face-value coverage is available for 10-, 15-, 20-, 30- and 35-year terms. Select Choice Annual Renewable Term: Premiums are structured to be lower at the start and gradually increase as the member’s age and earning potential increase. Members can also elect to keep premiums fixed by reducing the coverage each year. This oneyear policy can be renewed annually or converted to permanent insurance at any point. Select Choice Youth Term Life: Choose to begin valuable protection for children and grandchildren up through age 17. Our annually renewable policy gives you the option to insure children—and guarantee their future insurability. Coverage can remain in force until age 95 as long as premiums are paid. Further, it is guaranteed to be convertible to whole life benefits at any time. This provides solid protection both now and for the future. Dividend payments are not guaranteed as the assumptions on which they are based are subject to change. Loans and withdrawals taken against a permanent life insurance policy will reduce the death benefit and may result in a taxable situation.

Secure Whole Life: Paying fixed premiums to age 100 makes this the most budget-friendly way to own whole life insurance. Or opt to pay fixed premiums to age 65, during working years, for a lifetime of coverage. Secure 10 Pay or 20 Pay Whole Life: Pay the premiums over a 10- or 20-year period, maximizing cash value growth and locking in long-term benefits. Secure Cash Advantage Whole Life: Accelerate cash value and dividend accumulation for retirement, education or other significant events. Secure Single Premium Whole Life (SPWL): Pay the policy’s entire premium upfront. This plan may be a good fit for charitable giving or special needs planning. Secure Cash Advantage Single Premium Whole Life (SPWL): Pay the policy’s premium upfront while accelerating cash value accumulation. Cash value can be expected to reach initial premium level at the end of the first year. This plan offers a smaller death benefit and may be a good fit for building emergency funds during retirement. Youth 3 Pay Life: Life insurance protection from $5,000 up to $50,000, this plan accumulates cash value that can be borrowed against or used for education, buying a home or for emergencies.
