State Representatives: In 2012, redistricting changed the boundary lines for many districts, both House and Senate, in Western Kansas. Mitch Holmes formerly served as House Representative for District 114, and moves on to serve State Senate District 33. The counties and cities that once fell within House District 114 are now part of 113. to be served by Marshall Chirstmann who ran unopposed and will take office in January 2013. This will be the 36 year old Lyons Republican’s first political office held. Mitchell Rucker, 19, is a newcomer to politics. He won a majority of the vote against two other Republican candidates during the primary election on August 7, 2012, and will take office in January 2013 to serve a much expanded House District 17. He is a lifetime resident of Hodgeman County.

Sometimes the only thing stopping a person from contacting the office of their congressman or congresswoman – or any other elected government official, for that matter – is not having their address or telephone number. It’s not always easy to find a mailing or e-mail address, phone number or fax number. No wonder so many of us are frustrated with the way the government operates. Below you will find for your convenience a list of local, state and national lawmakers who make decisions about your everyday life.
