Process of creating an Oat Extruded Snack

Extrusion is a process of cooking and mixing in which a material is forced through a die to create an expanded product. Numerous shapes and sizes can be produced by varying the type of die used and cutting speed.

To achieve your desired size, the cutter speed can be adjusted. Increasing the cutter speed reduces the size of the extrudate. Screw profile is key to getting optimal shape and texture.
