ABOUT APN ROADSHOW Introduction Building on the success of the inaugural WorldGBC Asia Pacific Leadership in Green Building Awards, a roadshow featuring a selected number of winners and finalists from the awards will travel to four/five countries in the Asia Pacific region for a series of workshops hosted by local green building councils (GBCs) and held in conjunction with strategic partners across the region. This Roadshow present a rare opportunity for Asia Pacific region to learn about sustainable practice and green building experience from the winners and finalists. The GBCs in WorldGBC Asia Pacific Network have all expressed interest in hosting workshops in their countries for the award winners and finalists to share their knowledge, to demonstrate best practice, and to help build local capacity in sustainability.

Awards Finalists and Winners The awards recognize the leaders in two categories: Business Leadership in Sustainability and Leadership in Sustainable Design and Performance. Business Leadership in Sustainability show cases organizations that are committed to integrating sustainability into the way they do business. These companies understand that sustainability is a long-term business opportunity, and are demonstrating that sustainable business practices – both in their internal operations and the product or service delivered to the market – can provide a competitive advantage and enhanced reputation. Seven finalists were selected in this category from a field of 55 companies. ARUP, Hong Kong City Developments Limited, Singapore ITC Limited – Hotels Division, India Keppel Land Limited, Singapore Lend Lease, Singapore Norman Disney & Young, Australia Swire Properties Limited, Hong Kong From a very close field, the judges chose three winners who are implementing sustainable practice into their daily business operations in different but important ways: City Developments Limited from Singapore, ITC Limited – Hotels Division from India and Keppel Land Limited from Singapore. Eight outstanding finalists in the Leadership in Sustainable Design and Performance category were chosen from a field of 57 projects around the Asia Pacific region. All our nominees provide real-world examples of how green buildings are better buildings for the environment, and for people too, and underscore how green buildings in operation are meeting and exceeding their design aspirations. The winner is TeMirumiru, New Zealand, a bilingual childcare center and an outstanding example of a building that engages and educates children about their culture, customs and the environment.

Detail Event The objectives of the roadshow are to share the award winners’ and finalists’ experience in sustainability and green building with industry and government audiences across the region. This roadshow contain of seminar and interactive workshop.
