OUR STORY Gatherings Magazine is a seasonal quarterly lifestyle publication with a focus on creativity and community. In July of 2011, Founder and Editor in Chief, Heather Spriggs Thompson of Nashville, TN launched Gatherings Magazine as a creative hobby. Now, Gatherings is composed of a creative team of contributing editors from the US, UK and The Netherlands featuring regular columns on food, vintage, interiors, crafts, styling and photography. Our mission is to provide beautiful inspiration for everyday living and encourage creative kindred spirits. We hope you will be a part of our story.

The theme of Artists + Artisans celebrates makers. This issue honors a myriad of artists and artisans to encourage readers to embrace their own form of creativity. Gatherings contributors embraced the talents of other artists to inspire their own articles or to celebrate the handiwork of others . For example, Craft Editor Maaike van Koert created handmade envelopes from prints by her inspiration Swedish artist, Carl Larsson. And Market Editor, Trisha Brink, rounded up her favorite spring trends in the handmade marketplace. Sometimes all it takes is a whisper from a mentor, a guiding light to breathe life into creative dreams.
