Drug Policy An offense is one where the student involved is: ·
Caught in the act of using or consuming illegal drugs

Obviously under the influence of illegal drugs
·
In possession of illegal drugs, whether on their person, in their car, in their locker or other personal property.
·
Tested positive for drugs during a drug screening
Disciplinary Actions Violations of the Alcohol or Drug Polices are considered Major Infractions and students that commit such actions must comply with the disciplinary actions implemented by the Disciplinary Council. Violations of the Tobacco Policy are considered Level 3 offenses and are dealt with according to the previously stated punishments.
General School Regulations Field Trips Gatewood field trips are a vital part of the educational process. Students are expected to attend all field trips and must follow the school’s behavioral policies. Students will wear school uniforms on class trips or field trips. The Headmaster must approve exceptions to required dress when requested by assigned faculty. Chaperones must be approved by the administration. Parent chaperones bear a great responsibility in the supervision of students on field trips. For this reason, it is not permissible for children other than the students enrolled in the class to attend field trips. Chaperones shall follow the directions of the teacher. For safety purposes, the fewest number of vehicles shall be used, the same route shall be taken, and drivers shall attempt to stay together. All traffic laws must be strictly observed. Chaperones shall refrain from alcohol and tobacco use throughout the conduct of field trips, regardless of the number of days involved.
