work that shattered my confidence. At Job Club, we chatted about what I wanted to do rather than just finding the first job possible. I have Aspergers, so I was looking for a workplace that would understand my gifts and the additional support I may need. I visited a workspace with the Job Club manager, thought it was great, and felt at home. I applied for the job with my updated CV, interviewed and got the role! I have now started the new job, and I love it.” —Andrew the ministry time at the end. When I returned to the hospital the following day, I had a test done, and the doctor told me they couldn’t find anything wrong with my eye! “My life was anything but calm. It was chaotic and filled with darkness. I battled with so much anxiety, depression, complex traumas. Although I’ve been a recovering addict for 7 years temptation got the better of me last year and I picked up a drink as things got too much for me in my personal life. I drank for that one evening in the summer crying myself into each sip pleading and calling out to God to help me. I felt so ashamed the next day and feared that all the effort I had put in the past 6 years was just wasted. An ex partner had connected with a Gas Street and they introduced me to church. I began watching GS online before attending GS South earlier this year. I’d listen to the talks often feeling like it was about me. The Lord has shown so much to me through this challenging season about his faithfulness, steadfastness, love and promise. Just recently I’ve given up smoking and Jesus is working on my anxiety. The friends I’ve made at South have been amazing Mike the pastor has helped me more than he knows. I’ve finally found a place I belong. I love my church family. I love Jesus. I can honestly say and believe that I’m a child of God who is deeply loved.” — Ashley

“I pulled my shoulder whilst training. It was very painful for about a week. I came to church, and Tim Hughes asked people with bad joints and pain to come to the front to receive prayer for healing. After I received prayer, I tested my shoulder, but there was no difference. After worship, I returned to my seat and realised that my shoulder had been 100% healed!”—

“I posted an Instagram story asking if anyone had prayer requests. All the requests came from nonChristians (which was amazing), but I was surprised a request came from someone I worked with! I didn’t know him well and assumed he wouldn’t be interested in God - I was wrong! He was so open to me praying for him and sharing scripture. We had lunch together at work and had great conversations about faith. He expressed some hardships he had been going through and how my simple act of asking if he wanted prayer had brought him so much happiness and joy.” — Shanon
