Letter From Our CEO Early in my career, I was attracted to the natural gas industry for two reasons. For one, I knew natural gas was a clean-burning fuel that presented lots of opportunities to make a difference for the planet. And two, I was eager to show that an energy marketer could set itself apart through the customer experience and its company culture. When I joined Gas South in 2006—the same year the company was founded—I knew our drive to make a difference in people’s lives would be the key to our growth and success. I’m proud to say our relationship with our customers, employees and the communities we serve has made us the Southeast’s leading retail natural gas provider. In 2015, we articulated Gas South’s purpose: “To Be A Fuel For Good.” For us, this means caring for our customers and employees and elevating our industry and communities. We also live by the Gas South way of putting people first, doing what’s right and striving to win. We stay true to our purpose and way by providing straightforward rate plans, delivering an exceptional customer experience and being an industry leader in everything we do. We support and encourage diversity, inclusion and professional growth with each of our more than 400 employees, and we care about making the world a better place—now and in the future. Each year, we give back 5% of profits to support children in need, and we’ve committed to investing $50 million to solar projects by the end of 2023. As Gas South continues to grow, we look forward to the many opportunities we’ll have to continue making a difference.
