Strengthening Youth in Our Communities
Throughout 2022, we took part in several charitable efforts as part of our commitment to support children in need—making a difference in the communities we serve is what we’re about. Here are two of those efforts:
In Florida: We were thrilled to invest $500,000 to help strengthen childhood education through the Step Up for Students scholarship program. These scholarships, available to students in K-12 throughout the state, provide educational opportunities for children in low-income households, for those who have difficulties with reading comprehension or who have been the victims of violence or bullying. The money is enough for 71 scholarships that will help ensure the future success of these kids.

In Georgia: We donated and installed a solar flower at the Truist Andrew and Walter Young Family At-Promise Center—part of the Andrew and Walter Young Family YMCA in Southwest Atlanta. Each year, this solar flower can produce up to 6,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity for the campus there, including The Center’s STEAM lab (science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics) where the solar flower will also serve as an educational tool for science and sustainability—read more about our commitment to sustainability on the last page.
