The realities of the future in the labor market

Future skills

(increasing popularity of healthy lifestyles, reducing individual harmful activities) and from the "top" (introducing various environmental state and industry policies and standards). There is a much wider understanding and appreciation of our ecosystem and the role played by humanity, and the effect we and our technology have on it. Ecological thinking reaches all areas of life and technology. There is a growing trend for people to reduce their ecological footprint and in all areas of life, society and industry environmental initiatives and practices are now commonplace.

Key trends of the 21st century and the skills you need to be successful This article is about trends that affect us all, and how these influence the skills that people need in the changing world in which we live. People and organizations need to adapt to these changes. New ideas and technologies, Artificial Intelligence and other developments bring opportunities but also bring challenges, and if people do not change and develop as either individual professionals or as organizations, they risk being left behind. The world is contantly changing and developing but some of the key trends of the 21st century can be summarized as: Acceleration; Digitalization; Automation; Globalization; Environmentalization; Demographic change; the Network Society. Here is an overview of some of these trends and they affect us all in our day-to-day lives. Digitalization of all areas of life Digitalization, i.e. the transition of all types of information to a digital form, is now widespread. It changes the approach to the management of enterprises, cities and the way people live. It includes developments such as: The Internet of Things and the Internet of everything (machine-to-machine, M2M). By 2050, 10 billion new devices will appear in global IP networks, i.e. for each person on the planet, there will be several devices connected to the network, the traffic of which will be many times more than that of people themselves. Transition from general digitalization of the external world to digitalization of personal space. In addition to the digital reality, to which we are accustomed, there is now augmented and virtual reality. Virtual reality technologies reinforce the digital world, and augmented reality technologies blur the boundaries between worlds (real and digital). The Pokemon Go Game, which brought together more than 100 million users around the world in a short time, has demonstrated the capabilities of augmented reality and the willingness of users to use such technologies. The next step in digitalization is the development of bio and neural interfaces. The simplest bio-interfaces - smart watches, electronic sports bracelets - have already become commonplace in everyday life. They allow you to quickly analyze and transmit information about your own state. A continuation of this technology package will be implantable sensors that transmit body state data (for example, sugar levels, hormones, etc.) to a personal smartphone or to an attending physician (or to the same AI). Elon Musk announced the creation of a venture called Neuralink, which will work on creating a fully-fledged "brain-computer" interface.

How do these trends influence the skills needed for the changing world in which we live? In addition to an individual’s professional skills, , people need to have the following competencies and skills :

Automation in industry and the economy Some of the key developments in industrial automation are: • Development of industrial robotics will replace manual labor in most routine manufacturing operations. • A proliferation of unmanned vehicles will change logistics at the level of individual enterprises and across the economy. • Direct communication between devices due to the development of machine-to-machine communications and the Internet of Things creates new interaction processes (for example, “production site - machine - supplier - consumer - utilizer”). • The use of self-learning computer networks allows the establishment of a permanent collaboration between the subsystems and the building of interaction with external systems (for example, with logistics and sales departments). This means that elements of the production system will become partially or completely self-managed and intermediaries will disappear. Autonomy on the road, in the air, in the field, everywhere. Now all car manufacturers (and other large companies) are working on creating various self-managed systems. In August 2018, the first unmanned taxi by Yandex was launched in Europe.

ily areas where a person still acts as an intermediary between different systems. Typical examples of such work are agents for booking and for selling air tickets, which are disappearing as we automate our database requests from a laptop or through a mobile application, bypassing agents. Once a computer system has been trained to efficiently maintain a company’s accounting, it will no longer be necessary to teach new programs to it (as opposed to new employees who would require further training). Globalization of knowledge and technology-based economy Globalization is the move to global chains of goods, production, knowledge, networks and culture. Virtually any complex product involves a chain of dozens of manufacturers and countries. People are implementing common processes across the globe to facilitate movement of both physical goods (mail, air traffic) and information (Internet, telephony). Environmentalization There has been a considerable movement towards greater environmental awareness and programmes both from the "bottom"

• The ability to continuously learn and improve • The ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and changing circumstances • Understanding and maximizing the benefits efficiencies of new technology in one’s own activities and for the organization you work within - Building relationships with individuals and communities - The ability to take on new responsibilities, develop new skills, change one’s attitudes and values - The ability to work both as an individual and as part of a team • Being environmentally aware both in relation to interaction with other people, with the technology and machinery we operate, and in relation to the communities and environment around us • Being pro-active and having self-leadership • Setting and achieving one’s own goals • The ability to live and work in a high degree of uncertainty • Having a multi-cultural attitude and the ability to work with people across many different cultures • Being cross-functional, inter-disciplinary and multi-tasking • The ability to be creative and solve problems

In addition to autonomous cars, there has been a rapid development of unmanned aerial vehicles (for example, the Amazon online store began delivering goods using self-guided drones) and they are already actively used in agriculture. This trend goes far beyond just being a substitute for a driver behind the wheel of a car, but it also extends to the development of artificial intelligence capabilities to analyze complex flows of incoming information and to make operational decisions independently. Automation of cognitive labor. Automation will not only affect physical labour, but also routine mental labour - primar-

region of Kazakhstan. Our success is built on the professionalism and commitment to quality of each of our team members, and every team member knows that Bolashak-Atyrau values team spirit, unity and cohesion. All of our team is united by a single goal, which we strive to achieve by understanding and supporting each other every day.

In our previous issues, we have introduced you to our branches, and now we would like to tell you about the Head Office of Bolashak. Our Head office is the beating heart of the company which is based in the city of Atyrau, and which regularly opens its

doors to representatives from many different countries. Today Bolashak is one of the largest companies in Kazakhstan. The Atyrau office has more than 200 employees of whom we are extremely proud, and thanks to their tireless commitment, we are one of the most successful companies in the western

To achieve the spirit of unity, we create an atmosphere for our employees where they feel free and comfortable. Regular team buildings help us in achieving this. Each department holds fiveminute talks on a weekly basis, not in the format of standard meetings, but in a free form with a fun warm-up and team building games. The idea of these five minutes talks is that not only a manager, but every employee can conduct it. This allows young employees to contribute and not to be afraid of proposing their own ideas and speaking to an audience.

of personal skills. We want each employee to understand the future is theirs, and the future of Bolashak is the younger generation! The Atyrau office of Bolashak, like the city itself, opens its arms to everyone who wants to create the future. We welcome those who want to leave a mark in history, because we are able to create a history about ourselves and our employees.

We also arrange cheerful and creative celebrations of all Kazakhstani and international holidays. All employees get involved in preparations for an event, this way everyone makes their own contribution and feels useful. Motivation is also one of the most important points in Bolashak. In our company we hold the “The Best Employee of the Month / Quarter” and “The Best Employee of the Year” nomination events. We also have a special nomination for “Best HSE Observer”. Our employees are therefore constantly involved in the development of a safety culture through observing their own safety and the safety of surrounding people and colleagues. As we mentioned above, we value each employee and training and development of personnel are not just empty words for us. We conduct both professional training and development

Way to success

Way to success personal life. Bolashak believed in me and opened new horizons for me – the construction industry. I understand and deeply appreciate this and I will try my best to maintain and strengthen our friendly relations with the company's customers.

Youth Work Experience experienced employees to each member of the youth work experience programme, who passes on professional knowledge and shares experience, provides an introduction to the work process, the company employees and office appliances. After undergoing the youth work experience programme, the employer at its own discretion may offer further employment to the young specialist. This way, each year Bolashak-Atyrau accepts 3050 young specialists within this programme, and to date, around 100 graduates have received their first experience in our company. According to the statistics, more than 80% of them remain within the company and are employed within their area of specialization. Young people are frequently caught in a vicious circle. They have a qualification and knowledge obtained in universities, which can be offered to potential employers, but due to the lack of practical experience they find it difficult to demonstrate own professional skills. Therefore practice at workplace is an excellent opportunity to gain experience and demonstrate and develop skills and abilities.

Practice is the perfect way to demonstrate oneself and start a career path. Many of our interns are already filling serious positions, having gained the necessary experience and demonstrated initiative and the appropriate level of responsibility. They are supporting this programme in the role of company employees, and are handling training of newly accepted interns.

The "Youth Work Experience" programme was introduced in Kazakhstan in 2009 as part of the Roadmap -2020; it is intended not only to find employment for university graduates on a temporary basis, but also to provide them with an opportunity to gain their first practical experience in their chosen profession.

We would like to note in particular, that as a result of the youth work experience programme, young specialists broaden their mind, master skills of working with people, and developing their ability to build relationships, etc. Without a doubt, the work experience programme develops communication skills, which is significant for any type of activity. And communication with a subject matter expert with extensive work experience helps them to identify their own style of behaviour and communication.

Bolashak-Atyrau has been taking part in this programme for many years, thereby giving graduates an opportunity to gain experience and find further employment. Paid youth work experience lasts around 6 months and it is a perfect way to test oneself, get to know a future employer, and to understand what professional goals to focus on. The greatest benefit of the work experience is an opportunity to get familiarized with the profession they have studied. Often young people do not have a full picture of what it really means to work in their chosen profession. The best way to understand this is to be in a real work environment and in close daily liaison with specialists in the selected profession. To simplify the adaptation period, we assign a coach from

has given me the opportunity to prove myself as an expert in the field of operations, where I use the skills and education I have acquired in China. I have strengthened and developed my knowledge of Chinese, English, Russian, and successfully use them in my work. Now I can confidently say that I learned how to negotiate effectively with customers and promote the Bolashak culture on our projects. I will make every effort to contribute to the development of our company's business.

The Youth work experience programme is an excellent opportunity for graduates to realize their potential and improve their skills. To me personally the work experience at Bolashak-Atyrau gave me confidence in my future and revealed new skills: to correctly and competently manage my time and the development of a professional approach to fulfillment of a particular duty. Also I acquired a second family - my team, the Recruitment Department. There are many interesting training initiatives that Bolashak organizes for me, effective use of social networks, participation in various events and meeting new people. All this opens up new opportunities for me on my career path, and the opportunity to show and express myself. Gaukhar Aitkuzhina (HR department)

Taking this opportunity, I would like to thank the management of Bolashak for their assistance, attention and the support provided to me in becoming a specialist in the field of project services. After undergoing the work experience programme, I was promoted to the position of Project Administrator, and later to Senior Project Administrator, which I am very pleased with. And I think that this is primarily thanks to my colleagues from Bolashak, who taught me all the necessary skills that I use in my

The youth work experience programme has opened the doors of a wonderful company for me; here they conduct many different types of training, which is a great opportunity for young professionals who strive to achieve more. For me personally, this is a chance to express myself and my skills in such a company as big as Bolashak – Atyrau, and it has become a part of my life and my second family.

Here are is some feedback from three of our employees about opportunities that the youth work experience programme provided them with. Assem Kalamova (HR department) Thanks to the mentors, coordinators of Bolashak HR department, I gained invaluable experience in the field of personnel issues. The friendly and close-knit team offered me great help and support, and helped me to develop relationships with my colleagues, to blend into the team, and to feel comfortable in all spheres of life. – Do you remember the time you first joined Bolashak? – Yes, I remember my first working day with a smile. It was 10 years ago, when we were in our old office on Karymsakova street. There were separate offices with several employees in them, everything seemed so small but cozy. I was 21 years old, and I was worried and excited at the same time as it was my first working day ever, I was thirsty for knowledge.

– I love spending time with my kids, playing or just talking about the past day. I like spending time with my friends and being busy with any recreational or relaxing activities, as long as I am surrounded by my closest people. – What do you value the most in your work? – The most valuable thing for me is my team. They are like my second family, and we spend 8 hours a day together.

– What does teamwork mean to you? – Team spirit, mutual support and having a common goal undoubtedly leads to success. As great people say: None of us is as smart as all of us. – How did you choose finance as your profession? – My mother worked as a chief accountant and in my childhood there were a lot of different accounting magazines and newsletters at our place. She used to sit over papers in evenings, moving her abacus right and left. Ever since I can remember, I was fascinated by her enthusiasm for work. Since then I have had a penchant for numbers, and mathematics was my favourite subject at school. – What helps you to cope with difficult tasks? – Concentrating on finding a solution to a problem and analysis. The most important thing for me is to look for solutions from different angles, to identify the best approach which will deliver good results. – How do you like to spend your free time?

10

– What would you recommend to young professionals who have just joined the company? – Be brave and active, try to absorb all the new information “like a sponge”. We have a lot of colleagues who are willing to share their experience. Do not lose your thirst for knowledge, there is always something that you don’t know. – What does Bolashak mean to you? – Bolashak is a prosperous company, which is becoming more successful each year. It is one of the most stable companies in the labour market of Atyrau and in the country. Even its competitors have high regard for its prominence. I personally find it flattering to work for a company that finds new jobs for hundreds of people in Kazakhstan, because our job is our bread and butter. – What is worth remembering of the year gone by? – In 2018 it was my 10th anniversary of working with Bolashak. Coming here in 2008, I could not even think that I would be working for this company for so long, getting so much experience and meeting so many interesting people.

People who made Bolashak history

– Do you remember the first time you joined Bolashak? – I started my career with Bolashak in 2012 in the HR department in the role of Work Permit Coordinator. Soon I was appointed as Manager of the Travel, Visa and Immigration control Department. Our department handles the arrangement of both international and internal travel for all employees of the company, obtaining of work permits for foreign citizens, as well as the control over fulfillment of migration requirements of RoK. – What do you value the most at work? – Most of all I value our friendly and cohesive team, my strong team of professionals which consists of 25 people, each of whom is a professional in their own field. I also value the fact that my job gives me a feeling of stability and confidence in the future. – What does teamwork mean to you? – Teamwork means efficient performance, when all team members share a common view of the goals and the methods to achieve them, mutual understanding and support. – How do you like to spend your free time? – I enjoy reading books. At the moment for instance, I am rereading all the school program books together with my son, refreshing my memory. Also I love going to the cinema with my kids, and going camping. – What would you recommend to newly employed young specialists? – I would recommend that they read more books, both professional and fiction; fortunately, there are currently many sources for books. I would also advise them to develop languages skills, and to absorb all the knowledge and skills that are offered by our company. – What does Bolashak mean to you? – I can confidently say that Bolashak is my school, the

place where I can acquire my knowledge and develop as an individual. – Can you remember any amusing, interesting or curious case that took place during your many years’ experience in Bolashak? – Our job often involves various, “challenging” situations. For example, in case of delays of international flights, we need to immediately re-book the flight for several employees at the same time, whilst choosing the most convenient and safe flights in the shortest time, in order to prevent any inconvenience and to make sure that the employees can make it on time, whether it is getting to the work place or traveling back home. Another example was the case when a foreign employee had lost his passport with a valid Kazakhstani visa, and the entire team had to put in every effort to restore his documents and visa in the shortest possible time, to be able to send him back to his country without delay. It’s not possible for me not to mention the case when our Meet and Greet representative accidently met the wrong group of people and took them to the hotel. We were very surprised to receive a phone call from our employees, saying that they were still at the airport waiting for the bus. So, we had to arrange the transport again and apologize to the employees. Back then, it didn’t seem funny at all, although we remember this case with a smile now. Overall, I can say that working in our company gives us a lot of invaluable experience, as almost every day we face different issues and challenges which need to be promptly resolved. I believe that our department is performing successfully mainly due to our cohesive team and the company’s effective management.

– Do you remember the time when you joined Bolashak? – Yes, of course, as if it was yesterday. I came to Bolashak on 4th December 2006. Back then the office used to be located at 14A, Karymsakova Street, the team was small. Also, we had a very large scope of work, but HR department consisted of Aiken Shamilkhanovna and me in one small office and Elle Temirgalieva in the next office. At first I struggled as I had never worked in HR field before, but I am very thankful to my coach, my teacher, my “second mother” at work – Aiken Shamikhanovna for she taught me everything, shared her invaluable experience, strengthened my willpower, resilience and confidence even though she had very little time for that.

2017 to date

– I love reading books, to hand knit and spend quality time with my family.

– What can you wish to your colleagues in the New Year? – I think that 2018 was a very fruitful year for our company. In the year 2019 I wish big achievements and brilliant ideas to my colleagues. Let this year bring success and excellent results to our company, let us be even more cohesive and strengthen our relations with our clients, let all of our employees’ dreams come true, inspiring everyone to great success!

– What interesting things have happened since you joined Bolashak?

– What are your plans for this year in respect to your work with Bolashak?

– I would say I have become mature, and that I have grown up both as a professional and an individual. Many significant events in my life also have a connection to Bolashak.

– I have got a lot of plans, but I would like to mention that I am mostly focused on helping Bolashak to remain a leader in the market. To do more than I did last year, to develop, to study, and to go forward!

– How do you feel about being involved in one of the largest projects in Kazakhstan?

– What would you recommend to those specialists who are not sure whether field experience is useful?

– Honestly I have not quite realized that I have become a small part in a big machine. I thank my lucky stars and of course Bolashak for the opportunity to demonstrate my professional skills in one of our country’s largest projects.

– As they say, any experience is priceless. Some find it difficult to be in Tengiz, far away from one’s family and hometown, but others enjoy their work schedule. To be honest, working 11 hours a day for 28 days in a row is not at all easy, especially for those who are not resistant to stress. But that’s another story (I say, smiling…). My advice is, if you love your profession, it does not matter where you are – onshore, offshore. What matters is the pleasure you get out of your job, sharing experiences, gaining experience from experts in their field, learning lessons and becoming a professional with each day. You can only get all of this, if you work in the field, because this is the place where professionals from around the world are gathered.

– What does teamwork mean to you? – What is worth remembering in the year gone by? – The last year was very productive for me personally. I could achieve all my set goals and was recognized as the best employee of the month first, and then as the best employee of the quarter. I would like to thank our management and my colleagues for such an acknowledgement!

– Teamwork is when a team has spirit, mutual understanding, respect and a tolerant attitude to each other. Tengiz bonds our team as we are far away from home for a long 28 days. We don’t have the support of our families, but we get it here, as we spend half of our life together. We are more than just a team – we are a family. For me personally, communications, or as our contemporaries say, synergy is what is most important in teamwork.

– What does teamwork mean to you? – I believe that Teamwork is when a group of people have one set goal, and in order to achieve this goal each member of the team makes their own contribution by implementing a certain task. Each team member has to complement and interchange each other in the course of work to achieve the set goals. – How do you like to spend your free time?

12

IR/HR Supervisor

Project coordinator

– How did you grow professionally in Bolashak? – My career with Bolashak progressed very smoothly. I was hired as an HR assistant, and after that I became an Administrator, Senior Administrator, and then HR Senior specialist, and in November 2018 I became a Project Coordinator.

Position

– How do you like to spend your free time? – Have you ever had to be a coach/ mentor for newly employed young specialists in Bolashak? – Yes, very often. I enjoy the role of mentor for young specialists; to teach them everything that I know and to share my experience. It is very fulfilling when you train young specialists, and then they show themselves at their best and become excellent specialists.

People who made Bolashak history

– At the moment, I am busy with research related to an article that I am writing on the subject of “Assessment of risk in industrial relations in the construction of operational facilities”. Right now I am gathering information, conducting interviews with the heads of construction sites and representatives of industrial relations.

People who made Bolashak history

– What would you wish our readers for the New Year? – To set and achieve goals; to be better than you were yesterday; to acquire new knowledge and master new skills, both at work and in life.

Safety in Winter Time

Save a life

With the onset of winter, there are many factors affecting our daily life. The winter period is associated with numerous cases of human trauma, slipping and falling on ice, hanging icicles from roofs, frostbite, and a high probability of car accidents.

WHAT ARE THE DANGEROUS FACTORS THAT ARISE DURING THE COLD SEASON?

Many companies make a common mistake where the work seems to come down to limitations and rules, and the process itself is perceived by employees as an extra task, which hinders the implementation of the main task – the production plan. Some people can sometimes be sceptical about the possibility to prevent every injury and fatality. However the practice of world-leading companies shows that all injuries can actually be prevented and fatalities can be reduced to zero.

SLIPPERY SURFACES (PATHS, STAIRS): 1. Use the safest routes. 2. Wear shoes with extra anti-skid devices. 3. To keep your balance, do not keep your hands in your pockets. 4. Move slowly and carefully..

The “Save a Life” campaign has been introduced by our client, Tengizchevroil, and is being promoted amongst its employees and contractors. The main goal is to achieve and maintain zero accidents with fatalities at the workplace, and this involves the personal commitment of each employee to saving a life, the safe return of each employee to his family, zero injuries and accidents both during construction as well as throughout all operations, and the complete elimination of incidents related to the safety of personnel. Bolashak is totally committed to this initiative.

ICICLES ON BUILDINGS: 1. Remember the snow and ice formations on the roofs of buildings. 2. If you see dangling icicles from the roof of a building, go around them so that they do not fall on your head.

First and foremost, it is the continuous support, regular involvement and personal example of Quintin Goldie, Bolashak-

Atyrau’s Managing Director, who demonstrates his own commitment to safe work. We want each of us to return home safely. We must take care of each other in order to ensure incident and injury free activities at all times. Bolashak’s employees and contractors are responsible for ensuring safe conditions at the workplace prior to commencement of work, and are empowered with the right to suspend or stop the work at any time, if they observe any unsafe behavior or hazardous work conditions. Bolashak-Atyrau is conducting extensive work directed towards improving safety culture, fostering safe behaviour through holding meetings, delivering presentations where our Managing Director shares his own personal practice based on 34 years’ experience in oil and gas, construction and maintenance. At all meetings and gatherings, we distribute Save a Life leaflets and bracelets.

LOW TEMPERATURE: 1. Follow the weather forecast. 2. Wear warm and dry clothes. 3. Take hot food and drinks. THE BASIC RULES OF MOVEMENT ON ICE 1. Try to avoid slippery sections of roads. 2. Wear non-slip shoes. 3. Carefully move on the ice, stepping on the entire leg. Slightly relax your knees. 4. If you slipped, try to sit down to reduce the fall distance. 5. Try to curl yourself up, to avoid falling on your back. At the moment of touching the ground, roll around to soften the impact force.

Inspire by setting your own example and demonstrating your readiness to follow these principles in actual practice! Do your work safely or don’t do it at all!

SAVE A LIFE IS: Personal A culture Our path forward

FALLING ON ICE If you fell and hurt your head, do not leave this situation without attention, even if it seems to you that the blow was trivial. In fact, the result of such a state of emergency may be a concussion of the brain, the consequences of which will only appear after a long time.

SAVE A LIFE IS NOT: A project that will go away Just a new SWA card Just for our employees

Sometimes, having felt a weak pain when falling, many calm themselves by the fact that it is caused by a bruise. In fact, the pain can be caused by a fracture, which, remaining for a long time unnoticed, leads to incorrect formation of bone tissue, which will subsequently require a long and serious treatment. Therefore, immediately consult a doctor for examination.

Job fairs The year 2018 was very busy with various events aimed at employing novice specialists and graduates of universities. Our company took part in several job fairs in different regions of Kazakhstan. In Almaty a test was conducted for finance graduates of KIMEP and other universities for the largest oil and gas project, as a result of which a number of young professionals were employed. Fasttrack interviews were organized at KIMEP, where students were able to pass mini-interviews with several employers in a short period of time. In Almaty, we had the opportunity to meet students and graduates of such universities as AUPET and UIB, and in the hospitable walls of the KBTU we have made a presentation about current and future labour market issues. We have a long established professional and close relationship with ALMAU, and we were very happy to accept the invitation to celebrate their 30th anniversary. We thank

Nazarbayev’s University for their trust and invitation to hold a presentation on the subject of “XXI century skills” for MBA students. Several job fairs were organized for students and graduates of Atyrau universities and colleges.

The organizer of these events is the Union of Oilfield Service Companies of Kazakhstan and a series of important meetings and sessions took place within the framework of the program, where ongoing issues and plans for development of the industry were addressed. The list of "Top 50 most Influential People in the Oil and Gas Industry of Kazakhstan" was also presented.

Thanks to our close cooperation with the centre of international programmes, we had an excellent opportunity to meet with graduates and scholars of the Bolashak programme, to talk about our company and their career prospects. We thank the management of ARSU named after K. Zhubanov for the excellent organization of the event, where we were able to acquaint students with our company, to carry out testing as well as workshops and a presentation on interview tips and skills of the future. We thank the management of the Faculty of Languages and Management of the West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technology University in Uralsk and the management of the College of Foreign Languages in Aktau for their hospitality and the opportunity they provided to meet with students and graduates, to provide them with advice on successful job searching, and the opportunity provided to applicants to get tested and to evaluate their capabilities. We wish all the educational institutions of our country success in making achievements in their field, and in finding employment for all their graduates and in gaining the recognition and honours they deserve.

You want to easily express yourself in English, even the most courageous thought? To instantly build phrases of any complexity? And generally communicate in English like a duck takes to water?

The Otrar oasis is an archeological wonder of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In the history of Central Asia, the role of the Otrar oasis, a compact zone of two cultures, nomadic and agricultural, is quite unique. The Otrar oasis used to serve as a gate not only between east and west, but also between north and south. Otrar is known as the place of birth of the great scientist of the East, Al-Farabi, in the year 870 and the place of death of Timur (Tamerlane) in the year 1405.

AKSU-JABAGLY RESERVE The main attraction and wealth of Shymkent and the whole land of the South Kazakhstan region is the oldest reserve in Kazakhstan, Aksu-Jabagly. It was the first in Central Asia to receive the status of biosphere reserve of UNESCO. By visiting it, you can get acquainted with rare species of animals and plants that are not found elsewhere.

This book is a continuation of the grammar textbook, "Real English - How to learn grammar once and for all", and is aimed for bright readers aged nine to ninety.

KAZYGURT MOUNTAIN

GENGHIS KHAN Mukhtar Magauin We’d like to draw our readers’ attention to the second book entitled “Uiskan Ulys” of the “Genghis Khan” epic by the famous writer Mukhtar Magauin. This second volume is in fact the first book of Genghis Khan’s history, and one can say that this is a separate, independent work. The previous book called “Tugan Zhurt” fully described the times when Genghis Khan was born and the ancient clans and tribes who inhabited the Great Steppe. The second book is based on the personal story of Genghis Khan. The story begins in the year 1155, when the future Jahangir was born and ends in the year 1218. Great events of world significance took place in Central and Eastern Asia during this period. Based on historical facts, Mukhtar Magauin describes the story of Genghis Khan’s difficult childhood, the history of his fearless struggle, bloody wars and victorious campaigns against Tangut and China, after seizing unconditional

There are a lot of tales about "The Promised Land", "The Flood" and "Noah's Ark” in the world’s mythology. According to one of them, the ark remained at the top of Kazygurt mountain. The height of the mountain, which is part of the Talas Alatau mountain chain, is 1800 m, the total length is 20 km, and the width is about 10 km.

power. Genghis Khan and his creative activity were portrayed as a source of rebirth of the kindred Turkic peoples and the revival and transformation of the whole world. The most complete and true story of Genghis Khan in world historiography is in your hands. We know that our fascinating, exciting history broadens the horizons of our young people, and gives adults the opportunity to breathe a sigh of satisfaction. Next in turn is the Third Book, which describes Genghis Khan's campaign to Khorezm!

When a person, who is unhappy with his life, realizes, or at least begins to suspect, that the reason is not the cruelty of the world or an accumulation of difficult circumstances, but that it is himself, and he decides to change, then he has every chance to do so! The chance to become happy -at any age and irrespective of your marital status or your level of prosperity. It is not that I just believe it, but I actually know from my experience as a psychologist that being happy is the solution. If you think that you don’t have any problems that prevent you from enjoying life, and that you like everything as it is, then this book is not for you. This book is for those who are willing to change.
