Area Attractions HOT SPRINGS - GARDEN VALLEY ANY SEASON of the year is a great time to try out some of the natural hot springs within the Garden Valley Area. PINE FLATS: On the South Fork of the Payette River six miles west of the Lowman Ranger Station on the Banks-Lowman Road. The trailhead takes off from the campground and follows the river for approximately 1/4 mile. Hot spring sits 30 feet above the river bed. HOT SPRINGS CAMPGROUND: On the South Fork of the Payette River across the road from Hot Springs Campground, 1 mile east of the Garden Valley Guard Station. ROCKY CANYON: 12-1/2 miles northeast of Crouch on Forest Road 698, the hot springs is reached by fording the Middle Fork of the Payette River.

FIRE CREW: Take the left fork at the junction at Trail Creek Campground on Forest Road 698, travel 1/3 mile to a spur road to the left that ends at the river. THe hot springs lie next to the river north of a dispersed camping area. BOILING SPRINGS: Take Forest Road 698, travel 23 miles north to the Middle Fork trailhead just north of Boiling Springs Campground. Just 1/4 mile north, the springs are located near Boiling Springs Cabin.

MOON DIPPER AND PINE BURL HOT SPRINGS: At the end of Forest Road 698, take the Middle Fork Trail approximately 2 miles to Moon Dipper. Pine Burl lies just beyond.
