2023 Salem County Distinguished Citizen “Good Scout” Award

Recipient: Chloe Williams

Chloe Williams was born and raised in Alloway, N.J. Chloe grew up on Stockington Road, which is the same road that both her mother and father lived on as children. She is a graduate of Woodstown High School and Penn State University.

Chloe worked with Marriott for 10 years developing her people and business skills, which served her well when she decided to return to work with her parents at B.R. Williams, Inc., in 1996. B.R. Williams, Inc., was started by Chloe’s grandfather Benjamin Riley Williams in 1935. Establishing a family tradition, his son Bejamin Riley Jr., along with his wife Carol, took over the business in 1975. In the company’s 80th year, Chloe became President and CEO, continuing the family tradition of providing safe and courteous transportation for Salem County school children.

In addition to running the company, Chloe is currently serving as president of the New Jersey School Bus Contractors Association and serves on the Board of Directors for the National School Transportation Association. Locally, she is on the Board of Directors for Ranch Hope, Inc., and is a member and Trustee at Aldine United Methodist Church.

Her quiet time includes cooking, walking, boating, reading, RV travel and projects around her home.
