Hon. John A. Casarow Jr. Municipal Judge, Retired

John A. Casarow Jr., was born in 1943 to John A. and Sara (nee Allen) Casarow. He grew up in Bridgeton, N.J., graduated high school in 1961 and completed his undergraduate studies at the Univsersity of Pennsylvania in 1965. In 1969, he earned his law degree from Rutgers University Law School, Camden, was admitted to the New Jersey State Bar and Federal Bar, and launched a nearly fivedecade career as a municpal court judge throughout Cumberland and Salem counties and Vicinage 15. He served as a member of the Federal Trustee in Bankruptcy Panel for over 30 years and the State Fee Arbitration Committee for several years. He conducted Commitment hearings at Bridgeton Hospital, Underwood Hospital and Ancora State Hospital. He officiated well over 1,000 weddings and served on many civil arbitration panels before retiring in 2018.

John received several awards locally in the vicinity of Cumberland County including the Cumberland County Professional Lawyer of the Year Award in 2001 and the Francis “Binks” Sharp Lifetime Achievement Award presented by the Bridgeton Area Chamber of Commerce in 2017.

He was married to Donna (nee Miller) from 1965 to 1974. In 1975, he married Barbara (nee Fitzpatrick). John and Barbara had 46 years together until her passing in 2021. John has three children: Andrea, Marianne, and Renee. He is also blessed to have six grandchildren: Michael, Grace, Lucy, Amy, Benjamin and Mary Beth.

He has been a long-time, active member of the Parish of the Holy Cross in Bridgeton and has served on many committees and as Chuch Lector.

Member of the Board of the All Sports Museum of South Jersey located in Bridgeton, long-term member and past President of the Bridgeton Lions Club.

Recipient: Chloe Williams

Chloe Williams was born and raised in Alloway, N.J. Chloe grew up on Stockington Road, which is the same road that both her mother and father lived on as children. She is a graduate of Woodstown High School and Penn State University.

Chloe worked with Marriott for 10 years developing her people and business skills, which served her well when she decided to return to work with her parents at B.R. Williams, Inc., in 1996. B.R. Williams, Inc., was started by Chloe’s grandfather Benjamin Riley Williams in 1935. Establishing a family tradition, his son Bejamin Riley Jr., along with his wife Carol, took over the business in 1975. In the company’s 80th year, Chloe became President and CEO, continuing the family tradition of providing safe and courteous transportation for Salem County school children.

In addition to running the company, Chloe is currently serving as president of the New Jersey School Bus Contractors Association and serves on the Board of Directors for the National School Transportation Association. Locally, she is on the Board of Directors for Ranch Hope, Inc., and is a member and Trustee at Aldine United Methodist Church.

Her quiet time includes cooking, walking, boating, reading, RV travel and projects around her home.
