PORTA BRUCIATA E PIAZZA SAN ROCCO
Il nome della porta ricorda un presunto incendio. Questâantico archivolto congiunge Piazza 3 Novembre con Piazza San Rocco, che porta il nome della chiesa dedicata a San Rocco eretta a seguito del voto fatto dalla comunitĂ per la peste (1512). Dopo la Prima guerra mondiale Ăš visibile soltanto lâabside restaurata con i pregevoli stucchi e lâaffresco che ne decorano la volta. Sulla piazza si trovano i busti dei martiri rivani e un Cristo a ricordo dei caduti. Der Name des Stadttors erinnert an einen vermutlichen Brand. Die Archivolte verbindet die Piazza 3 Novembre mit der Piazza San Rocco, der den Namen der San Rocco geweihten Kirche trĂ€gt. Sie wurde 1512 als Einlösung eines GelĂŒbdes zur Abwendung der Pest von den Stadtbewohnern errichtet. Nach dem 1. Weltkrieg blieb nur die Altarnische erhalten. Am Platzt befinden sich die BĂŒsten der MĂ€rtyrer aus Riva und eine ChristusbĂŒste zur Erinnerung der Gefallenen. The name of the gate commemorates a presumed fire. It is an old barrel vault connecting Piazza 3 Novembre with Piazza San Rocco, that bears the name of the church dedicated to San Rocco and built to honour an oath made by the community after the plague of 1512. The nave was demolished by a bomb during the First World War and now all that is visible is the apse. The piazza features busts of the martyrs of Riva and a statue of Christ, to commemorate the war dead.

QUARTIERE DEL MAROCCO
Il nome deriva probabilmente dai cumuli di frana staccatisi dalle pendici del monte Rocchetta che lo sovrasta. Elegante il Palazzo del Vescovo nella piazza superiore dove si trovano anche il vecchio lavatoio e unâedicola votiva dedicata a San Rocco. Der Name des Stadtviertels ist vermutlich auf die Steinhaufen zurĂŒckzufĂŒhren, die sich durch den Bergsturz von der Rocchetta bildeten. ErwĂ€hnenswert ist das elegante Bischofspalais am oberen Platz, wo sich ein alter Waschtrog und eine kleine, San Rocco geweihte, Ădikula befinden. This quarter probably got its name from the heaps of landslide debris which came down from the slopes of the mountain Rocchetta above. Worthy of note are the elegant Bishopâs Palace in the upper piazza where you can also find the old public wash house and a little shrine to San Rocco. Riva del Garda
