Manitowoc County is home to a rich heritage and fascinating history. Between our two sites, the Heritage Center and Pinecrest Historical Village, the Manitowoc County Historical Society works to enrich the quality of life in our community by building connections to the past and providing interactive learning experiences. The Heritage Center is home to the remarkable Civil War Flag of Company A, hosts our flagship exhibit “What Makes Us Who We Are”, an archaeology exhibit featuring hundreds of Native American artifacts, and our Hungry for History series, which features an exciting educational program and a catered meal. Our staffed research library is available to researchers and history enthusiasts and features thousands of records, photographs, and books.
