The employees of International Paper were challenged with stretch targets and throughout 2014, they delivered greater-than-expected results. “At International Paper, we value our employees and strive for operational excellence. The Fond du Lac plant is an impressive example of why these core values are essential to our company’s continued success,” said Mike Soelke, manufacturing manager of the Fond du Lac facility. “The team at this facility has worked very hard to get us where we are today and we credit our success to that hard work and dedication.” International Paper Fond du Lac took on many major projects in 2014 to improve the manufacturing environment in the areas of safety, productivity, waste and quality. Muthig Industries Inc.

celebrates 50 years in business in 2015 Ray Muthig founded Muthig Industries Inc., a tool and die business, in his Fond du Lac home in 1965. By 1971, the growing company moved into a 2,500-square-foot building on Lost Arrow Road. The business continued to expand and by 1977, purchased the Midwest Stamping Company. Mathig relocated the company to Rolling Meadows Drive in 1981, and in 1986 Bruce Muthig purchased the business from his father. The business than moved to its current location in 1998, due to a growing demand for a much larger manufacturing facility. The business has experienced significant grown since 2007, when Muthig added the laser cutting division, and in 2009, a second shift and addition of a production and machining and turning department. The expansion warranted a 10,000-square-foot addition in 2010, giving them nearly 35,000-square feet of manufacturing capacity. This commitment to growth and diversification has enabled Muthig to serve a broader range of customers. Combining these departments along with the long-running tool and die and metal stamping divisions led Muthig transforming into a service manufacturer. Muthig Industries Inc. is a thirdgeneration family owned business. Troy Nachreiner and Jeff Nuss purchased the
