FROM THE NATIONAL PRESIDENT Hello Sorors/Members, It has been three months since we have seen each other at our first ever virtual convention. We have accomplished so much since then. In August, the new board of directors got together to plan for the upcoming biennium. With only 6 of the 17 board members returning, we are excited to welcome all of our new leaders. In the month of September, we had 5 chapters and over 125 members participate in the Alex Million Mile Campaign. During the course of our partnership with Alex Lemonade Stand, we have raised $46,821.93! If you didn't have a chance to participate during the month of September, the pages will remain open to donate. We will be connecting with all of our national partners to see all the ways we can partner together. Stay tuned for more service opportunities from Alex Lemonade Stand. Now that we are in October, this past weekend we celebrated our 69th Founders' Day with a national celebration as we rededicated ourselves to the ideals and principles of Gamma Sigma Sigma National Service Sorority. If you missed it, the recording is up on the national website in the members only section. Not to mention, we had a week's worth of service events! Looking forward to seeing all the service that has taken place this week. We have two more months until the end of the year please your keep those pictures coming and to all the chapters and colonies out there make sure that your members have filled out our membership information form so that we can keep in contact. When you have new members, add them to the Facebook groups, both the global and the district pages, and register for the national website. Happy Founders' Day Sorors/Members! COLLEGIATES IN SERVICE THETA DELTA The Theta Delta chapter of Talladega College set their sights on fundraising for Alex's Lemonade Stand by providing Cookies & Lemonade for purchase.
ZETA PSI The Zeta Psi Chapter of Mississippi State Valley University showed their support for the hardworking staff at MSVU during World Suicide Prevention Day.

ALUMNI IN ACTION
SUNSHINE STATE ALUMNI CHAPTER The Sunshine State Alumni Chapter participated in the Holly Hill National Night Out Event. Members shared the importance of literacy by passing out packets with books and reading activities. Packets for girls also included a strand of pearls, reminding them that "Every girl should have pearls". Sunshine State created a Literacy Scavenger Hunt that allowed the children to win a prize for finding answers throughout the event and encouraged parents to allow them to try it again when at home. 3

TWIN CITIES ALUMNI CHAPTER Twin Cities Alumni Chapter gathered to enjoy lunch and service at member Judy Schulze's home in Circle Pines. They attached stuffed animals and pacifiers to knitted blankets for babies for a group called Bundles of Love. 4
ALUMNI IN ACTION MEMPHIS PEARLS ALUMNI CHAPTER The Memphis Pearls Alumni Chapter started Founders' Day by adopting Booker T. Washington Park in Memphis, TN as a quarterly community service project .
GREATER BALTIMORE ALUMNI CHAPTER Greater Baltimore Alumni Chapter participated in Breast Cancer Awareness on October 9th, with Dr. Ruth Travis’ bag distribution of literature in Lafayette Park. As a continuous project, bags will be distributed each Saturday during the month of October in various neighborhoods in the city. #LiteracyAwareness #BreastCancerAwareness
