GAMA is proud to present Springfest 2013 Dessert Challenge. We are calling all aspiring and talented chefs to enter the dessert competition and proudly display your work at the Picnic. This year we will have two categories:

KIDS

ADULTS

(15 & Under)

(16 & Above)

Participants can make either cupcakes or cookies of their choice. Points will be awarded based on taste, creativity, presentation, texture, amount of participation of the kid vs. parent. Description of the kid's vs. parent's involvement must be included along with the dessert submission. Ideally the dessert must be made from scratch. Points will be deducted for boxed desserts although canned frosting is acceptable.

Ingredients: Pistachios (Crushed/ Cream) and/or Berry (Reduced/Compote) Participants should come up with a creative dessert using one or both of these ingredients in any of the specified forms. Using the ingredient as part of decoration will not be counted. Points will be awarded based on taste, presentation, creativity, originality, how well the special ingredient was incorporated into the dessert. Additional Points will also be awarded for using both ingredients.


Basic Rules/Info for the Contestants  Recipe needs to be submitted for each dessert.  Participants must provide utensils for the judges to use  There will be 3-4 judges  3 prizes will be awarded for each category (kids and adults)  Consider bringing additional food for the audience to sample 

Ingredients should be displayed clearly along with the dessert presentation
