More than that, she says that she loves everything that comes with her role Puseletso has enjoyed both her formal as well as corporate training experiences. “I started with an internship at old mutual which earned me a certificate in long and short term investments I am now on an internship with standard bank studying towards a banking certificate” These over and above her Boston qualification. So what does her job entail? “Currently I am Universal Banker learner at standard bank, I interact with clients and try to give them a solution on their enquiry or direct them to the right person to help them” On an average day, her work involves a variety of tasks “On an average day I log on my emailsreadthem,makesurethatI have no tasks to complete or a meeting Then direct clients to the specific area that they will be assisted, shadow a universal banker for most of the day, even assisting customers to use the ATM If needs be” Puseletso says that there are three essential qualities that one needs to be successful in her job, showing the human interaction side of finance very strongly: “Patience; Communication skills and the love forclientservice.”Asshesays:“It’s all about client centricity” For those who wish to go into the banking industry and find work similar to hers, she recommends a diploma in financial accounting And what type of person should youbetobesuccessfulinthisjob?
