Focusing on Health Benefits

Create an Intention Make the Promise Nourish Your Body Give Not to Receive Drink More Water Move Every Day WORKOUT IDEAS FOCUSING ON HEALTH BENEFITS
RESOLUTION DEFINED: The resolution is the end of the story. It occurs after the CLIMAX. It is when you learn what happens to the characters after the conflict is resolved. Pause….

Pretty hefty definition, right? When it comes to health benefits that focus on workout ideas for the coming year, it is relatable. Learning to move on a consistent basis can be fun. Take for example that you decide you like to walk; measure your steps by calculating, how many steps, then advance those steps over time. Consider these moves micro-steps to change. Next you could possibly walk faster, then longer or in a different landscape. Walking outdoors is invigorating, but on a treadmill or bike it is also as good. All movement takes effort, accountability and consistency. While outside you will start to notice your surroundings. The smells, the sounds, and the scenery. These aspects elevate your senses and heighten your awareness, while lowering your worries. You experience, inhaling fresh air, strengthens your lungs and heart and supports over all good health.
Other movements can be challenging whether it is on a station bike, elliptical or treadmill. Other aspects of the benefits to moving become apparent. While moving, you have time to free your mind of life’s clutter. Concentration is directed to your effort, and maybe not about all of the tasks of the day. You may realize through concentrated effort you begin to organize your day, prioritize what needs to get finished and decide what can wait. Practicing mindfulness becomes enjoyable and calming.
Has your CLIMAX started to take shape in your thoughts and actions? Well then, you are well on your way!! It is when you learn what happens to your character by moving regularly, the mind is free to explore. You may now begin to ask yourself questions like; how did I sleep last night? What am I eating that is not right for me? Could I try a new vegetable? I should ask my friend to walk with me!!
Conflict becomes a part of your mindset. When can I find time in my schedule to work out? What kind of physical activity do I enjoy? What is my goal to my physical activity? Conflict is natural, but resolve is the key to change. Let’s think about a few other factors that compliment your success to physical activity.
Food is nutrigenomic meaning, it effects how you feel. To move more you need to fuel more, both with hydration and clean nutrition. Research shows us that the best way to create a healthy habit is to start as small as possible. Ask yourself could I eat an apple instead of a donut? Should I make it easy to drink water by doing it first thing in the morning? Could I try one different vegetable a week? What is your story? What could you do to improve your habits for a healthy approach to working out?
Working out is also a habit, just like brushing your teeth, doing it daily, however small or however long? Simple as it sounds, it’s about carving out the time to commit to it and then sticking to it. It is not a selfish act to take time for you. Working out is a well needed self-care necessity. If you have ever heard of the “Blue Zone”; regions around the world where people live the longest, then you would see that a routine of moving often increases your life expectancy. People who live in these regions combine, good nutrition, social activity, plenty of vegetables and legumes and quality sleep as their norm. Pick for yourself a physical activity you enjoy, a nutrition regiment that is low in processed foods and high in whole foods a social group that supports a healthy lifestyle and good amount of quality sleep.
In this presence of endless uncertainty, apocalyptic weather changes, political instability and new variants, it is up to us to keep ourselves healthy. Instead of a resolution, let’s try making ourselves a promise. A promise is a gift to your soul. Tell yourself that you are important, you matter and that you are worth the time to focus on yourself. It is not a selfish endeavor to think of you from the inside out. What goes into your body and what your body is capable of doing is a gift from the almighty. Take care of your vessel and it will take care of you. Lisa Rodriguez IIN Health Coach HeartMath Practioner
