Walking in Beauty Butternut Squash!

No one loves to peel, seed, or chop a butternut squash. Many of us just don’t bother. Squash is full of vitamins A and C, rich in fiber and is very delicious. With all that said, it is just such a bother to prepare.

Now though, in most grocery stores you can find prepackaged or frozen butternut squash that has already been peeled, chopped and ready to cook.

You can even find it in special shapes, spirals for noodles, cubes for soups or stirfry dishes. This gives you the opportunity to enjoy the great taste of butternut squash

Here is a recipe to try:

Roasted Butternut Squash

1 bag of pre-cut butternut squash 2 tablespoons olive oil 1 ½ tablespoons maple syrup 1 teaspoon cinnamon Salt and pepper to taste 1 tablespoon rosemary

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Add your pre-cut butternut squash to a bowl sprinkle with olive oil, maple syrup, cinnamon, salt and pepper. Mix until all the ingredients are coated well. Place on a cookie sheet, put in the oven for 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and stir the ingredients to make sure all sides are cooking well in the oven. Return back to the oven for an additional 15 to 20 minutes. Remove when the squash is tender, add the rosemary stir up the ingredients once more and serve.
