We joined a group of writers living near the town of Truro. We thought it sounded romantic.” “What was Cape Cod like back then?” asked Christina. “A lot like it is now,” said Mimi. “100foot sand dunes. Windswept marshes. Wild, pink beach roses growing in the sand. Weathered houses, windmills, and lighthouses. Of course, the Cape is a lot more crowded now, especially Provincetown.” Mimi sighed. “Did you write a mystery book while you were there, Mimi?” asked Christina. She was proud that her grandma was Carole Marsh, the famous writer of children’s mysteries. Papa flew the Mystery Girl all over the world so Mimi could do research for her novels. Christina and Grant traveled with their grandparents whenever they could.
