This popular stand-up comedian and actor, who has sold out two prior shows at the Gallo Center, has come a long way since winning NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” in 2010. While that may have opened doors and helped build his fan base around the country, Felipe Esparza’s hard work and focus in more recent years has brought him longevity.

With three successful specials on Netflix and HBO, his “What’s Up Fool?” podcast holding steady as one of the top comedy podcasts for the last eight years, and sold out tour dates all over the country, Esparza is now at a point where he is moving more into TV and film.

DREW LYNCH TURNS ADVERSITY INTO LAUGHS

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 7, 2023, 5 PM & 8 PM

TICKETS: $39/49/59

“Do something every day that scares you” is the motto Drew Lynch lives by. In 2015, Lynch captured the hearts of America with his Golden Buzzer performance on Season 10 of America’s Got Talent. “The person I was before would probably never hangout with who I am today” is the statement that resonated most in capturing audiences across the country, as they fell in love with his charming wit and genuine vulnerability every week of the competition.

Lynch becoming a comedian was almost as unintentional as capturing America’s hearts. At the young age of 19, he moved to Los Angeles with aspirations of becoming an actor, a dream he had since he was a kid. A freak accident in a softball game just a year into his acting career left Lynch with a severe stutter and crushed his hopes of ever performing again.

But his continued drive to become an entertainer forced him in a different direction, and he often reflects on the “softball that humbly changed his life and gave him a career.” The relatability of Lynch’s real-life situations in dealing with a stutter propelled him each week of the competition – advancing to the finals and ultimately landing second place on that season of America’s Got Talent Lynch attributes much of his success to being honest and genuine in facing the ‘elephant in the room’ head on.

At the ceremony, she was backed by El Mariachi Sol de México to perform a warmly received tribute to her beloved grandfather, actor and singer Pedro Infante. If the phrase “male a cappella group” conjures up an image of students in blue blazers, ties and khakis singing traditional college songs on ivied campuses...think again. Straight No Chaser (SNC) are neither strait-laced nor straight-faced, but neither are they vaudevillestyle kitsch. They have emerged as a phenomenon with a massive fan base, numerous national TV appearances and proven success with CD releases. SNC is the real deal, the captivating sound of nine unadulterated human voices coming together to make extraordinary music that is moving people in a fundamental sense...and with a sense of humor. On the road, SNC has built a reputation as an unforgettable live act.

Cheap Trick is an indisputable American institution, beloved around the globe since 1974 for their instantly identifiable, hugely influential brand of pop rock ‘n’ roll. The band – Robin Zander (vocals, rhythm guitar), Rick Nielsen (lead guitar), Tom Petersson (bass guitar), and Daxx Nielsen (drums) – are true pioneers with an unparalleled streak of certifiably classic tunes, from “He’s A Whore,” “California Man” and “Dream Police” to “Surrender” and “I Want You To Want Me.”

Help us welcome Cheap Trick to the Gallo Center!

“Since their first album in 1977, Cheap Trick has consistently put out perfectly polished power-pop and hard rock gems, and that tradition continues…all we can do is be thankful for the longevity and endless creativity of the quartet from Rockford, Illinois.” — Associated Press

Unifying under one brand promotes the continuity of care we can provide across our hospitals and affiliated entities for the patients we treat every day.

Our hospitals have worked as a network for decades and we continue to do so under this new brand. We offer advanced, quality care – from preventative and routine healthcare to highly specialized services – to everyone. We are proud to serve many diverse communities throughout the Central Valley, enabling patients to access a wide range of services at convenient locations close to home.

As the Premier Partner of the Gallo Center, we understand that community goes far beyond the walls of our hospitals. Art is good for the body and mind, and that is why we are proud to support it. We truly value our partnership with the Gallo Center. The venue is a community asset for the region, setting high standards for the arts, education, cultural enrichment and entertainment.

Set in Vienna in the late 19th Century and written by the “Waltz-King,” Johann Strauss II, Die Fledermaus (The Bat) is high spirited and charming, romantic and comic, filled with beautiful music and singing. It is the most famous and beloved of all Viennese Operettas. Opera Modesto’s production features Liisa Dávila as Rosalinda, Alicia Hurtado as her chambermaid, Gabriel Manro as her husband, Emmanuel Mercado as her ex-flame, José Luis Muñoz as Prince Orlovsky, and Octavio Pérez-Bustamante as Falke. This production is sung in the original German, with spoken dialogue in English, and supertitles in English.

A CELEBRATION OF WOMEN’S HEALTH & WELLNESS RAISES FUNDS FOR HAVEN

Clear your calendar because MoPink is back in Modesto this October! MoPink is an event that seamlessly blends fun, wellness, and charity into an unforgettable experience. Throughout October, you’ll have the chance to score deals and attend programs and activities that not only uplift your spirits but also support HAVEN, the non-profit organization advocating for those impacted by domestic violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking.

Various local shop owners, eateries, attractions, and fitness centers are putting together packages or hosting events with proceeds benefiting the worthy charity. This year a new program titled “On Wednesdays We Pour Pink” will be introduced with breweries, cocktail lounges, cafés, coffee shops, restaurants, and theatres offering their own versions of a “Pink Pour” on Wednesdays in October, with each pour having a charitable contribution to HAVEN on behalf of MoPink.

So, mark your calendars, gather your friends, and join us at MoPink. Together, we can make a positive impact that resonates far beyond the event itself. Go to www.visitmodesto/getmopink to learn all about MoPink activities, events, deals and more!

From the bombastic and epic, to the folky and mystical, Get The Led Out (GTLO) has captured the very essence of the recorded music of Led Zeppelin. GTLO re-creates the songs in all their depth and glory with the studio overdubs that Zeppelin themselves never performed. When you hear three guitars on the album…GTLO delivers three guitarists on stage. With no wigs or fake English accents, GTLO brings what the audience wants…a high-energy Zeppelin concert with an honest, heart-thumping intensity.
