This popular stand-up comedian and actor, who has sold out two prior shows at the Gallo Center, has come a long way since winning NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” in 2010. While that may have opened doors and helped build his fan base around the country, Felipe Esparza’s hard work and focus in more recent years has brought him longevity.
With three successful specials on Netflix and HBO, his “What’s Up Fool?” podcast holding steady as one of the top comedy podcasts for the last eight years, and sold out tour dates all over the country, Esparza is now at a point where he is moving more into TV and film.

“Do something every day that scares you” is the motto Drew Lynch lives by. In 2015, Lynch captured the hearts of America with his Golden Buzzer performance on Season 10 of America’s Got Talent. “The person I was before would probably never hangout with who I am today” is the statement that resonated most in capturing audiences across the country, as they fell in love with his charming wit and genuine vulnerability every week of the competition.
Lynch becoming a comedian was almost as unintentional as capturing America’s hearts. At the young age of 19, he moved to Los Angeles with aspirations of becoming an actor, a dream he had since he was a kid. A freak accident in a softball game just a year into his acting career left Lynch with a severe stutter and crushed his hopes of ever performing again.
But his continued drive to become an entertainer forced him in a different direction, and he often reflects on the “softball that humbly changed his life and gave him a career.” The relatability of Lynch’s real-life situations in dealing with a stutter propelled him each week of the competition – advancing to the finals and ultimately landing second place on that season of America’s Got Talent Lynch attributes much of his success to being honest and genuine in facing the ‘elephant in the room’ head on.

They have emerged as a phenomenon with a massive fan base, numerous national TV appearances and proven success with CD releases. Cheap Trick is an indisputable American institution, beloved around the globe since 1974 for their instantly identifiable, hugely influential brand of pop rock ‘n’ roll. The band – Robin Zander (vocals, rhythm guitar), Rick Nielsen (lead guitar), Tom Petersson (bass guitar), and Daxx Nielsen (drums) – are true pioneers with an unparalleled streak of certifiably classic tunes, from “He’s A Whore,” “California Man” and “Dream Police” to “Surrender” and “I Want You To Want Me.”
Help us welcome Cheap Trick to the Gallo Center!
“Since their first album in 1977, Cheap Trick has consistently put out perfectly polished power-pop and hard rock gems, and that tradition continues…all we can do is be thankful for the longevity and endless creativity of the quartet from Rockford, Illinois.” — Associated Press
At Doctors Medical Center, we have been committed to providing excellent healthcare to the communities we serve for more than 60 years. Alongside our sister hospitals, we have proudly cared for generations of patients, providing access to high-quality care close to home.
This summer we launched the Central Valley Doctors Health System, a single, identifiable name and brand that reflects the integration of our healthcare system across the Central Valley, including our three acute care hospitals: Doctors Medical Center, Emanuel Medical Center and Doctors Hospital of Manteca. Unifying under one brand promotes the continuity of care we can provide across our hospitals and affiliated entities for the patients we treat every day.
Our hospitals have worked as a network for decades and we continue to do so under this new brand. We offer advanced, quality care – from preventative and routine healthcare to highly specialized services – to everyone. We are proud to serve many diverse communities throughout the Central Valley, enabling patients to access a wide range of services at convenient locations close to home.
As the Premier Partner of the Gallo Center, we understand that community goes far beyond the walls of our hospitals. Art is good for the body and mind, and that is why we are proud to support it. We truly value our partnership with the Gallo Center. The venue is a community asset for the region, setting high standards for the arts, education, cultural enrichment and entertainment.
