About Photographer Zay, Isaiah Little Isaiah “Zay” Little is community development and marketing strategist. Creative Director & Founder of GalleryRetail a prosocial creative agency and Newark First Fridays, an independent arts & cultural platform and festival. Studied Entrepreneurship at Temple University’s Fox School of Business. Born into a large family of Newarkers, several generations embedded in Newark and migrants of the Second Great Migration, he is truly a son of the city. Blending personal passions for design and community, Isaiah is a creative entrepreneur, technologist, urbanist, and public servant.

What To Expect
Let’s go! We have made it this far! Taking new photos and creating new content is an exciting time. Here are tips on what to expect during your session. BEFORE As soon as you are interested in booking a session, shoot me an email or give me a text. We will discuss all the specifics of what you are looking for with your photo session. This will give me the opportunity to learn more about you and what you enjoy doing most.

DURING Photo sessions can range from one to three hours. We will meet at the location at the scheduled time, go over any special photo requests or needs you have, and then get shooting! AFTER As soon as you session is over, I transfer your photos onto my computer with double backup, and begin editing. It takes about two weeks to edit and prepare your gallery. At this point, I will send you an email with your gallery link and password as well as ordering information.

Locations In Studio or At Home I find that clients feel more comfortable in a controlled setting. I have a 2,000 square ft daylight studio in the heart of Downtown Elizabeth: a short drive from Downtown Newark and stones throw from Newark International Airport. And yes, your home is fine. Travel within 25 miles of my location is included in your session fee. **All attendees must wear a mask in the building's common area **Social distancing and CDC Covid Guidelines must be observed **Parking** Metered street parking on Weekdays. Free street parking on the weekends.

On Location If you choose to have your session elsewhere, that’s ok too. My suggestion is to choose a location that meaningful to you in some way. Travel within 30 miles of my location is included in your session fee. After that, a fee will apply depending on the location. Sessions on location will need to be scheduled later in the day for optimal lighting conditions.

What To Wear What heck do I wear!? Documentary and headshot photography sessions with me, you do your thing. I will give you a few things to consider; I’m not ‘directing’, ‘posing you’, or ‘changing the scene’. I don’t want you to
think
yet
simply
be
comfortable. Wear something your feel good
in.
I
do
typically
suggest clients avoid black or all white, it is sometimes hard to differentiate between subjects
when
wearing
these colors. Earth tones photography beautifully. STAY NEUTRAL • Earth tones compliment all skin tones. Differing textures are also photograph beautifully AVOID LOGOS • Logos ad symbols often detract focus away form the subject and the emotional connection EXCEPTIONS • ALWAYS exceptions to every rule. If you normally wear jewell tones or have a favorite branded tee. It’s your story, not mine.
Frequently Asked Questions WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING? We will cover all of this in your pre-consultation/planning meeting, yet you will want to bring changes of clothing. WHAT SHOULD WE DO TO PREPARE FOR THE SESSION? We recommend that people get a good night of sleep before their photoshoot, bring a water bottle if we can shooting outside, and have your clothing steamed and on hangers. MAKEUP, HAIR-DOs AND DON’Ts? Wear you hair and makeup anyway you prefer; it is our experience if you have the opportunity to hire a professional it gives your images a little extra. IF IT RAINS, DO YOU HAVE A STUDIO TO SHOOT AT? Yes, we have a studio, and we also watch the weather to make sure that your shoot is good to go. Any day with a 50% chance of rain most likely be rescheduled to another date. WILL THESE IMAGES BE POSTED ONLINE OR ON ANY SOCIAL NETWORKS? Yes, unless specifically requested otherwise, we love share your beautiful images online through Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and our website. Feel free to add us so that we can tag you! WILL WE HAVE THE OPTION TO USE PROPS? Of course, anything that has meaning or is special to you may be used in the photoshoot. I urge against using anything that may look outdated several years. We want to be able to use these images for a while. DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS? Ys, absolutely. I require a retainer of 50% and the rest just need to be paid off before the session date. No hidden fees, just pay if off as you wish before the your session date. WHEN IS THE BEST TIME OF YEAR TO SCHEDULE MY SESSION?
