THE UKULADEEZ AT CREASEYS The all-girl ukulele group recently entertained shoppers at a Creaseys charity event organised by Soroptimist International. The evening was held in order to raise funds for Guernsey Cheshire Home and Maison St Pierre on the 26th July. Emily, Jo and Mimi had lots of fun serenading onlookers with their covers of country blues, traditionals and Disney songs. Without the usual constrictions of a stage and microphones the girls took advantage of the slightly obscure venue and wondered about like fluttering troubadours. They played with a rather reluctant mannequin in the shop window, in the lifts (turns out the Creaseys lift is pretty small and so can only fit an audience of one, very exclusive) and where they obviously felt most at home being girls: in the make-up department.
