FEEDING THE PLANET, ENErGy For LIFE, cuLTurAL - socIAL vIsIoN oF ITALIAN ArTIsTs
Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life, cultural - social vision of Italian artists Title: “Look with the Mind” My artistic vision has never wavered, I have always dominated the doubt, even if I was suspended between two worlds: the first, made up of reality and consciousness and the second, made up of imagination and dreams; I am hanging in the balance between these worlds, as a dowser searching the perfect dimention. A dimension that is proposed as leitmotiv for this important artistic, publishing and cultural project. Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life, cultural - social vision of Italian artists” is a project that aims to combine the themes of Expo Milano 2015 related to food, and the food sustainability on Earth, trying to understand our role in the third millennium, starting from the belief that nature is the best artist in the world, which is a very difficult task. Therefore we have to respect the Nature and the Earth, starting from a word much used today and, unfortunately, often inflated; Love. As I begin this, I tried to understand which was the country with an higher food culture, with various types of territorial and climatic conditions, with farming traditions and that was influenced by history, art, poetry, mythology... how it could be possible to represent equally such an important issue and how to create a force so full of energy in order to express it with dignity. Certainly, Italy seemed to me the best suited country for this type of event, both because it houses the Expo with a very precious theme for this country and for the future of the world, both because of the centuries of history related to art and architecture, and today also to the design. Then I thought about the word “Love”, and I found its most elementary meaning: the embrace, a big, strong, warm, and prolonged embrace. From the word embrace developed, therefore, the research and the selection of artists who could express themselves through their language, styles, techniques and concepts, without limitation, giving the possibility to freely interpret this theme. Artists who could best represent their ideas through their origins, thanks to the place where they live and work; artists from all over the world, from the north to the south, moving from side to side, as if it was a journey of an American family discovering Italy, this wonderful country. My project also included the construction of four works per each artist, almost forcing them to work on the “small” (22x22 cm), because I thought “ I’ve never seen large jewels”, and also for being able to create, within these four elements, a dialogue that eventually could also be shared. Since the beginning I have followed this “embrace”, made up of more then seventy artists and about 300 works, put together to form a huge installation that proposes a collective story. A suggestive group emphasized by the opportunity of watching it from many points of view; a futuristic screen, where there is not a remote control to change the program, but just the possybility to look with the mind, to change our way of being and acting. The result is an explosive force, a breathtaking energy, a clear message: there are artists who believe in the future, who respect all living beings and the earth they walk. Now, just follow their example! Moreno Panozzo
Ora, basta seguirne l’esempio! Moreno Panozzo
