He paints on walls, creates on canvas and reinvents himself on cardboard.

« L’idée d’utiliser le carton pour réaliser mes œuvres m’est venue lors du premier confinement lorsque je me suis retrouvé à cours de matériel et dans l’impossibilité de commander des toiles.

Je me suis trouvé face à un tas de cartons d’emballage dans mon atelier et, étant donné que je souhaite garder l’esprit urbain dans mes créations, le support était idéal !

Avant de peindre sur le carton il y a un peu de travail de découpe, d’assemblage, de peinture pour avoir le côté vieilli et usé que je souhaite.

Il est vrai qu’il y a une volonté de mettre en avant le recyclage et de donner une seconde vie à un petit bout de carton. Cela a même été un défi personnel de revaloriser des matériaux dont on n’a plus l’usage pour créer une œuvre unique. Rien ne se perd, tout se transforme...»

I found myself faced with a large quantity of cardboard piling up in my studio and, as I wanted to keep the urban spirit in my creations, the medium was ideal !

Before painting on the cardboard there is a little bit of work that needs doing in order to achieve the final result which will then allow me to start my creations and these involve cutting, assembling, painting to get the aged and worn effect I want.

It is true that there is a desire to promote recycling and to give a second life to a small piece of cardboard. It has even been a personal challenge to upgrade materials that are no longer used to create a unique work. Nothing is lost, everything is transformed... »
