REWIND the Classics Gaither Vocal Band Reunion Vol. 1
Dear Homecoming Friends, In this fresh new year we need a fresh new joy, especially to get us through the last dark days before spring finally bursts out! This is the perfect time to fill the evenings with two just-released experiences with the Homecoming family of singers around the piano. GIVE THE WORLD A SMILE and SWEETER AS THE DAYS GO BY witnessed a return of your favorite singers to our hometown of Alexandria, Indiana, and the Gaither Studios. After recording videos all over the country and around the world and to our great delight, the Homecoming singers came full circle to where it all began. Yes, in the very room where so many of the earlier videos were recorded, the room that still seems to echo the voices of Jake Hess, Vestal and Howard Goodman, George Younce, Glen Payne, Dottie Rambo, Roger Bennett and so many more, we gathered to make some new memories, sing some new songs and renew the beautiful relationships with old and new friends who are singing the gospel today. And what a memory it was! We invite you to see! We ate together at the Common Place at Gaither Family Resources, shared memories and told stories over coffee in the LattĂŠ CafĂŠ and worked out harmonies in halls and nooks of Gaither Studios. But to finally be back together in that wood lined room of Studio C and to hear the ânew pioneersâ --a new generation of children, teenagers and young parents-- join in singing with us who have become the established groups was as thrilling as the first time we sang in this room more than two decades ago. What joy to know that there is and always will be a new song for each new season of life! And there will always be the old, sweet song that we have loved so well schooling each new experience. The main thing is that we sing the song of the redeemed together! And in the dark days of winter and the gradual greening of spring, letâs keep the warmth, the light and the music! Yes, keep the music!
