2021 ANNUAL EVENTS

Artzy Event at City Hall

An outstanding showcase of the City’s local school talent and creative businesses, performances, gorgeous visual arts displays including a colorful Junkanoo Band in bright costumes transformed City Hall. Over 1,500 spectators enjoyed the live performances, art and various cultural displays, with food, beverages, and City give-a-ways.

Egg’stravaganza

The City collaborated with local talent, businesses, Greenacres Fire Rescue and PBSO to organize a Spring Parade with baskets, free eggs, and of course the Easter Bunny, to spread joy and fun to over 1,200 residents in two (2) of the City’s mobile home communities, through generous donations from local businesses.

Fiesta de Pueblo

A City co-sponsored cultural event organized by the Puerto Rican Hispanic Chamber of Commerce usually held early in January was modified as a Three Kings drivethrough candy distribution at the Samuel J. Ferreri Community Park.

Ignite the Night

Independence Day was celebrated with a family-friendly event, hosting approximately 5,500 attendees, Live music, food, fun, amusements and much more was enjoyed by all, concluding with the Zambelli fireworks display, lighting up the night sky and finishing the evening.

Rock ‘n’ Roll Sunday

A City co-sponsored Veteran’s fundraising event featuring a classic car show, motorcycles, rock and roll music, vendors, food, beer, and plenty of fun.

Many City events were canceled again this year, or modified due to the Pandemic. The five (5) events hosted by the City had a combined attendance of over 8,200 attendees with a 96% satisfaction rate from attendees.
