KRATOR is the audio brand of KWorld Computer Co. LTd., a Taiwan-based company that was established in 1999. Although a relatively new presence in the scene of audio products, the company won the Taiwan Excellence Award in 2010 for its Neso 01 Legacy Wood series. The said award is a government recognition given to a brand that is “considered to be of the highest standards and [has] strong market potential.”

In a press launch on October 27, Irene Chen, KWorld Computer sales manager for KRATOR, officially launched the brand in the Philippines. Manuel S. Abad, business development manager for KRATOR/Technoline Digital was also present, and guided the demonstration of the speakers to members of the media. One of the products on display was the Neso 04 (N420U05) “Drop to the Nature” series, KRATOR’s entrylevel 2.0 channel USB speakers, which showcases an elegant raindrop-inspired design. output and is equipped with 2.75-inch drivers. The suggested retail price is set at only Php 700. Another Neso 04 displayed at the launch was the 2.1-channel N4-21U26, codenamed “Surrealism,” which is also powered via ultra-USB 2.0ch technology. It has a curvaceous dome-designed 4-inch subwoofer, accompanied by 2-way satellite speakers with 3-inch full range drivers with an output of 26W/RMS. KRATOR claims it is currently the most powerful USB-powered speaker system in the Philippines. Its suggested retail price is Php 2,400. To cater to the more discerning audiophile, KRATOR has a high-end line that includes the Neso 02 (N221030), which boasts a stunning 9mm reinforced MDF handmade wood cabinet. It’s a 2.1-channel system that consists of a 5.25-inch long-throw subwoofer and a pair of satellites with 2.5-inch full-range drivers. Powered by an AC adapter, it will deliver a 30-watt R.MS output. The suggested retail price is set at Php 3,995.
