1. LECCO 2030 A 360° SUSTAINABLE CITY DATE: 2021 LOCATION: LECCO, ITALY TYPE: MASTERPLAN ROLE: INTERNSHIP at LAND

Between the lake and the mountains, Lecco is rich in natural, landscape and cultural resources. However, the urban development has neglected its landscapes and its different identities, creating a disorganised, grey city without a unified design. Nowadays Lecco, nature is near, but not tangible in daily life. 6

In the construction of a new image for the city, it is necessary to start by reconnecting its landscapes and structuring a network of green public spaces that unite the lake, city, hills and mountains, starting with the rediscovery of its rivers and 14 historic districts. A system of green and blue infrastructures

1.1 EX PICCOLA VELOCITÀ DATE: 2021 LOCATION: LECCO, ITALY TYPE: MASTERPLAN ROLE: INTERNSHIP at LAND

The Ex’’Piccola Velocità is an area located in a central position for the city of Lecco, completely isolated and unconnected with the surrounding area. The development of the masterplan provides for the activation of this public space in innovative key inspired by the great realities of European cities. The goal is to transform an unused

and free area of functionality in a new attractive pole capable of becoming a potential redevelopment of the territory. Through the identification of an urban regeneration line, which aims to connect the territory from the city to the mountain, the Ex’’Piccola Velocità takes on a central role by creating a new Pole of Knowledge in an area devoid of functionality.

1.2 PIANI D’ERNA DATE: 2021 LOCATION: LECCO, ITALY TYPE: MASTERPLAN ROLE: INTERNSHIP at LAND

14

The objective is to transform a disjointed and unknown place into a new multifunctional platform in nature capable of connecting the city with the mountain. The Piani d’Erna represent a territory rich in experience and biodiversity for all seasons that deserve to be rediscovered. Against this vision, 3 main actions have been developed: the redevelopment of the BelvedeA MULTIFUNCTIONAL AREA IN NATURE

re, transforming it into an attractive pole and a meeting place for getting to know the landscape; action 2 restores a territorial identity with the creation of thematic paths through touch points while action 3 introduces the digital landscape as a tool for the rediscovery of the territory. The Piani d’Erna, this ways, will be a new point of reference, an access portal to the mountain.

3. RETHINKING SANTANA DATE: 2018 LOCATION: SAO PAULLO TYPE: TACTICAL URBANISM ROLE: INTERNSHIP at 11th Sao Paulo Architecture Biennial

This edition of the Biennial challenges architecture to approximate with other fields and forms of co-production of the city that transform the understanding of what urban design and planning can be. The proposal of the Biennial aims at the expansion of the architect’s actions towards collectivity. 20

The Santana neighborhood of São Paulo was transformed with a pop-up installation, leading to a permanently improved intersection with traffic-calming measures and increased pedestrian safety.

4. TRANSBORDERING MINHOCÃO PARK COLLECTIVE SPACES IN THE VICINITY OF AN OVERPASS DATE: 2021 LOCATION: SAO PAULO, BRAZIL TYPE: MASTERPLAN + URBAN DESIGN ROLE: MASTER THESIS at Politecnico di Milano* *110/110 cum laude

22

The project is developed with the intention of questioning the borders created by the overpass Elevado Presidente João Goulart, also known as Minhocão (Big Worm), located in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The thesis explores the contradictions created by the infrastructure, like the fragmentation of the territory, but also how it developed to be a landmark when it’s reappropriate by the population.

My project aims to create a strategy of connection between the fragmented ground floor in the surroundings and the Minhocão, but also to create a connection between the new collective spaces with the community through different phases. It’s a project inspired by the city, the daily life and by the people, that gives it all its meaning

5. ALWAYS SUNNY IN CAVALCAVIA DATE: 2021 LOCATION: MILAN, ITALY TYPE: URBAN DESIGN ROLE: 3 WEEKS WORKSHOP at Politecnico di Milano

The goal of the workshop is to rethink the bottom part of Cavalcavia, an elevated highway, located in Milan. An urban infrastructure that connects important parts of the city, but due to its scale, separates and causes a negative impact on its surrounding. 28

Through the analysis of sound and color, the project explored how to bring the sun and domesticity back to Cavalcavia through two elements: plastic curtains, which vary in texture and color, movable chairs.

6. MUTUALISTIC ARCHITECTURE DATE: 2018 LOCATION: SAO PAULO, BRAZIL TYPE: MASTERPLAN AND ARCHITECTURE ROLE: FINAL THESIS at Universidade Prebiteriana Mackenzie* *graduation with honors

A mutualistic association is when an organism that in its very nature lives on positive relations and dependence on the other, being the guest of another living being, the host. The translation of this thought into architecture is exactly the addition to a pre-existing building. This intervention re-signifies and introduces a new semantic layer to the building, which, while preserving it, reveals something else to the public eye. It is a way of 34 occupying abandoned urban spaces of the cities, such as blind gables or underused spaces (like roofs and cribs).

The project was organized through three elements: buildings, elevators and pedestrian bridge. These elements were thought as a volume that at the night turns on and with a program that reveals the area, Largo do Paissandu. These elements are a way to cross the city vertically (buildings and elevators) and horizontally (pedestrian bridge) and seek to occupy the space between buildings (or the negative space of the city).
