BIOGRAPHY: GABRIELA MOURATO was born in Rio de Janeiro (Brasil), on 1974. She graduated in Fashion Design at Candido Mendes University (Rio de Janeiro) and has also done several different courses at Central St Martin’s College of Art (London UK).

With over 15 years experience in film, advertisement, theatre and fashion, she develops her work and transits between several different media such as costume design for film and advertisement, styling and fashion design.

She has been involved in campaigns such as Close-up, Sustagem, Sadia, GM, Itaú, Santander ,Coca Cola, Pepsi, Claro, Vivo, Samsung, Toyota, BMW, Seda, Antártica, Ford, Vale do Rio Doce, Oi, Brahma, Cigarro Free, Lux, Carefree, Sony, Nintendo etc She has worked with renowned film-makers such as Breno Silveira, Andrucha Waddington, Cláudio Torres, Toni Vanzolline, João Jardim, Mauro Lima, Carol Jabor e Paulo Wainer. In the fashion sphere she has been involved in product development for brands including Verve, Animale e Bebe Basico.

In theatre she has worked with renowned directors such as Aderbal Freire Filho e Felipe Hirsch. In music she has dressed top brazilian bands and performers such as Seu Jorge, Paralamas do Sucesso e Morais Moreira.

During her first stint in London she worked with the designer Lena Santana developing the brand’s accessory line, as well as doing the styling for their Summer 2013 lookbook.

Professional Goals: My aim is to work in movies, publicity and fashion design. I am confident in research and product development. I have good skills in computer technology, drawing and speak fluent English. I have 15 years experience as a professional in both fashion and costume design.
