Nourish Scotland

Glancing through GCFN social media tells a similar story to Locavore and that of Kauffman, most people look to be white, under the age of 50, wholesome and middle-class. Equipped with the right clothing, they appear to be environmentally conscious people who spend time outdoors113. Staff team pictures show mainly white, women of a certain age. Nourish Scotland Nourish Scotland is a charity focusing on food policy and practice. They state they ‘work for a fair, healthy and sustainable food system that truly values nature and people’114 . Nourish Scotland use different approachs, that are similar to participatory design methods to understand people’s lived experience in food scarcity. They work in different areas of Scotland including Glasgow and have been extremely vocal about the Good Food Nation Bill, a bill currently going through the Scottish Parliament115 .

On their website there are photos of their staff and board of trustees, similar to the descriptions given by Kauffman, almost everyone is white and under the age of 50, like Locavore and GCFN most of their staff appear to be women116 .
