Central Distribution Adds 3600 Pallet Spaces With Innovative Reracking Plan Brendan Monaghan, F.W. Webb Director of Operations, announced in May that the space in the company’s 408,000 square foot warehouse facility, Central Distribution, is being optimized, making room for more inventory to meet customers’ product needs. “We’ll be able to get a greater depth of product out sooner and increase fill rates,” Monaghan said. “Plus, we’ve anticipated future needs so we’ll be ready for our growth to continue unimpeded.” Inventory refresh is part of the plan as the operations team removes product not in high demand and makes room for new products and new lines across the company’s businesses. Stage One of the project, now complete, involved resizing racks and adding more racks both horizontally and vertically. In addition to creating more space, the reracking operation was designed to increase efficiencies by making the building easier to work from and allowing personnel to handle material as little as possible. Monaghan noted that this stage of the project was completed ahead of schedule, with no impact on service to customers; in fact, over the course of the work all measurements went up. “The key was communication and planning,” he said. “The entire CD team—managers, supervisors, and staff —was outstanding.” The reracking effort is headed by General Manager Greg Bodlovick, Operations Manager Chris Fuery, and Warehouse Manager Dave Perez.

Crane Resistoflex and Crane Xomox: You’re Single Source for Your Most Difficult Corrosion Applications.

 xomox® tufline fully lined plug valves

• These valves are more versatile, and often out-perform alloy valves. • More economical than alloy valves. • With FEP and PFA lining, cast, dovetail recesses and machined grooves lock the lining to the valve body casting. The locked-in lining is virtually impervious to shrinking, stress-cracking, collapse, or blowout. • Unlike alloy valves, there is no need to inventory different valves for various applications. • There is less chance of costly and dangerous installation errors. • Media contamination is prevented. • Positive shutoff. • FEP and PFA locked-in lining. 2-way fully lined plug valves 3-way fully lined plug valves

Xomox® valves are lined with DuPont™ Teflon® fluoropolymer.

 xomox® tufline fully lined Ball valves

• Tufline Lined Ball valves have a metal-tometal body joint to control compression of the liner for assured sealing. • The seats are easily and quickly replaced. Standard port lined ball valves

Full port lined ball valves

 xomox® tufline fully lined accessories

Tufline Fully Lined Accessories are a reliable and economical alternative to costly highalloy products. • Wafer Swing Check Valves • Ball Check Valves • Piston Check Valves • Sight Flow Indicators • Strainers • Tank Bottom Valves • Poppet Check Valves • Clamp Valves

 xomox® tufline fully lined butterfly valves

• Lower torque ratings. • Continuous disc/shaft lining. • Triple O-ring stem sealing components are all isolated from corrosive flow media. • Spring washer live loaded stem packing. • Slim profile disc. • Completely enclosed shaft bottom. No springs, seals, or

washers to corrode or fail. • Face-to-face dimensions meet API 609 specifications. PFA lining: • More flexible and less bulky for more reliable and tighter sealing. • Excellent permeation resistance. • High Cv values.

Permeation Problem Solver resistoflex® atl breakthrough liner processing technology Paste Extrusion is the most widely utilized method for producing PTFE pipe and fitting liners, the process was introduced by Resistoflex® in the 50s, and served the chemical industry’s corrosion resistant needs for many years. However as the chemical industry utilized PTFE lined piping systems in more aggressive processes, such as elevated temperatures and pressures and a wider range of chemical concentrations, the performance requirements for liner properties increased and a more suitable method for making pipe and fitting liners was required. Resistoflex® has been processing PTFE resins for over 50 years and currently utilizes various methods for producing PTFE liners including; Isostatic Molding, Ram Extrusion, and Paste Extrusion. Each process yields different mechanical properties and we match those with end-use products that meet varying customer needs.

60% better than standard PTFE liners!

 Vortex Flowmeters Robust and universal – for liquids, gases and steam Vortex meters are used in many different industries to measure the flow of liquids, gases and steam. Applications in the chemical and petrochemical industries, for example, in power generation and heat-supply systems, involve widely differing fluids: saturated steam, superheated steam, compressed air, nitrogen, liquefied gases, flue gases, carbon dioxide, fully demineralized water, solvents, heat-transfer oils, boiler feedwater, condensate and more. Vortex meters are particularly popular in all industries for metering steam.Vortex meters measure volume flow, but steam systems are generally rated by mass or energy content, so these meters are frequently used in combination with a pressure and/or temperature sensor and a flow computer. A configuration of this nature helps save energy and is ideal for allocating the costs of generation across multiple consumers. The Prowirl 73 vortex meter combines everything necessary for the direct mass metering of saturated steam: flow computer, temperature and flow metering all in a single device. Advantages at a glance: • No moving parts • Universally suitable for measuring liquids, • Marginal pressure loss gases and steam • Easy to install and commission • Largely unaffected by changes in pressure, • Large turndown: typically 10:1 to 30:1 for temperature and viscosity gas/steam or 40:1 for liquids • High long-term stability (lifetime K factor), • Large temperature range from -33 0° to 750°F no zero-point drift

 Digital Positioner Masoneilan’s SVI® II digital valve positioner provides high performance solutions for any process control application. SVI II offers advanced features and functions using the HART® Communications protocol. It is designed for use with any control valve system making it a truly universal control solution.

Key Features • Accuracy and precision • Non-contact position sensor • Modular construction

Key Customer Benefits • High performance valve positioning • Scalable platform for hardware & firmware upgrades • Auto-calibrate and auto-tune • Non-contact hall effect position sensor • Explosion proof LCD and push buttons

 Apollo® Actuation Apollo® CompacTorque™ actuators are totally manufactured in the USA and feature rack and pinion design. Available in 11 sizes to complement torque requirements of most Conbraco valves. Both spring return and double acting versions are available. Spring return torque ratings at 80 psig are from 50–10,500 lb-in. Patented Universal Shaft Adapters make it easy for direct mount to Apollo butterfly valves. Double acting torque ratings at 80 psig range from 58 lb-in. to 25,000 lb-in. Apollo® CompacTorque™ actuators feature ISO 5211 interface dimensions and NAMUR solenoid and accessory interface dimensions. Conbraco also supplies pre-engineered stainless steel valve/actuator mounting kits for all valves equipped for automation.

Industrial Specialties Solutions Kit for Perfect Pipe Joints Install a perfect joint every time to prevent failures between pipe and fitting. The Quick Release™ Tubing Cutter provides quick, square cuts on plastic pipe. DEB4 Deburring Tool creates a proper 15 degree chamfer for even distribution of solvent cement. DEB1 (in some kits) deburrs and chamfers 1/2”, 3/4”, and 1” plastic pipe.
