D.Oliver: What are your goals for modeling? Coco: My goals for modeling is to get my name and brand out to the world and promote a positive body image. D.Oliver: What made you get into modeling? Coco: What made me get into modeling is ever since I watched a season of Americas Next Top Model when I was six years old it was my dream. How they transformed regular day to day women who had flaws and personal problems, it showed them how beautiful they are! It made me want to become one. D. Oliver: Did your confidence change after your first runway show? Coco: After my first runway show, my confidence level didn’t change. I was trying to find myself and who I was because most my life I had always been insecure about my weight and body image I thought I had to be to fit in with the “in the crowd.” D. Oliver: What’s, are some challenges you face being a model with curves? Coco: Some challenges I face being a model who has natural curves is that when you go to a casting, most of the time you’re around women that are straight up and down who are skin and bones, no chest, or hips, or backside and that’s what we have. People a lot of times judge us by our appearance, for instance, if we have a little more meat on our legs than they do then we’re considered “thick.” It bothers me sometimes, and if you make it and do get picked for that show(s), then you must get fitted. Most of the time the clothes are hanging on a rack, and I already know what is and is not going to fit. I believe our confidence needs to be high because we have haters everywhere. D.Oliver: What surprised you about yourself? Coco: What surprised me about myself is how strong I was because this industry is hard, and you must have a lot of mental strength. D.Oliver: Do you believe you are women enough for those around you? Coco: I do believe I am woman enough for those around me because a real woman embraces who she is and knows her worth. Who doesn’t let people walk over like a doormat just to have friends or a boyfriend? D.Oliver: What song inspires you to be great? Coco:“Impossible” by Building 429. The big quote that touches me every time I listen to it is, “There is no such thing as Impossible.”
D.Oliver: What makes you feel insecure? Coco: What makes me feel insecure most of the time is my weight; since I’ve started modeling with people who have been doing it longer than me they have labeled me as the “tall, fat, blonde girl”! And labeling people isn’t cool in my opinion. D.Oliver: What makes you feel confident? Coco: What makes me feel more confident in myself is when after every show people come up from the crowd and tell me how fantastic my walk was or how fierce my vibes were or go and say to the designer that they want to buy the outfit I wore makes me feel like I did what a runway model is supposed to do. D.Oliver: Who is your biggest inspiration? Coco: Karlie Kloss, her and I are built a lot alike, except she’s over 6 ft tall and I am not. I follow her on Instagram, and every time she does professional shows or shoots she knows how to work her body (being all legs) and does not let her brand down. D.Oliver: Who’s your favorite fashion icon? Coco: My favorite fashion icon would have to be Donna Karan. I love her line DKNY because most of the styles are classy, but the street and that’s ME! D.Oliver: Where do you expect your modeling career to take you? Coco: I expect my modeling career to take me all over the world and to make a difference. To influence young girls who don’t have the perfect families who feel like they aren’t good enough and to embrace what God has given you and to know your one of a kind. D.Oliver: If you could go back into time what would you tell yourself when you first started modeling? Coco: I would tell myself, not to worry about what others think about you, to just be you because that’s what makes you “Constandina,” and to let the haters hate because they hate you because they ain’t you. D.Oliver: So before we end this interview I will ask you who is Constandina? Coco: I am 19 years old model, with curves who isn't afraid to bare it all. I'm a model who wants to inspire and embrace women of all shapes and sizes.
