FWCD Homec Photos by Tiffini Crum and Lisa Koger Seniors Austin Meadows and Kirstin Mullins were crowned Homecoming king and queen during halftime of the Homecoming football game on Friday, October 19. Homecoming 2012 festivities included the formal dedication and ribbon cutting for the Paul W. Mason Middle School Expansion (see “Paul W. Mason Middle School Expansion Dedication” on page 16), an Alumni Awards reception and dinner honoring six exemplary FWCD alumni for their achievements in professions ranging from filmography to education and nonprofit fundraising (see “Remarkable Alumni” on page 52), as well as the induction of eight former Falcon athletes into the Athletic Wall of Fame in recognition of their collegiate athletic careers (see “Stellar Athletes—2012 FWCD Wall of Fame” on page 51). Of course, by the end of the Friday night football game, with weather hinting of a quickly approaching fall, the weekend was made all the better by a rousing victory as the Falcon football team dispatched the St. Andrew’s Episcopal School Crusaders, 42-19.
