Dielectric Expands OptiLoad Series
Dielectric has added to its OptiLoad line, expanding the family of load solutions to detect and prevent transmission system failures in liquid-cooled UHF and VHF TV systems.
“Those innovations deliver a convergence of passive RF equipment, electronics and sensing that Dielectric has now adapted for radio and less rigorous UHF environments,” the company said.
OptiLoad FM is a version for radio. Dielectric says it retains the original’s footprint and architecture, which is notable given the wavelength differences between FM radio and UHF TV. Its intended uses include high-power FM sites with multiple stations feeding into one master antenna.
Also new is OptiLoad Light, a lower-cost solution for UHF systems with fewer failure points in the monitoring infrastructure.
OptiLoad systems are built around a water column building block, to which Dielectric adds a heat exchanger, creating a closed-loop cooling system that prevents the exposure of liquid coolant.
Programmable logic controls sense rising RF power and temperature levels, prompting

the system to act across several operating modes. It will transition to standby mode without RF power present when coolant temperatures are less than 130 degrees. When temperatures land between 130 and 150 degrees, OptiLoad initiates flow from the high-efficiency circulator pump. Fans are activated when the temperature surpasses 150 degrees.
Engineers can use OptiLoad as a station load when they need to test the transmitter or isolate the transmission line and antenna to identify and solve a problem. OptiLoad awakens and ramps up to full power if the load is being utilized, offsetting electricity costs and reducing power bills.
The three systems now include SNMP functionality, allowing the transmitter to do a daily handshake. If that does not occur the station will be notified.

Radio.Cloud Enhances Workflows With Assistant AI
Assistant AI from Radio.Cloud streamlines show prep for hosts and content creators by eliminating manual research.
“Integrated directly into Radio. Cloud’s Smart Playlist, it serves as a playlist-specific research assistant, offering inspiration for live talk breaks and voice tracks,” the company states.
With Assistant AI, hosts can select a specific talk break time slot and choose content types such as local news, weather, station promos or details about the next artist or song.

“Within seconds, it generates a detailed text block, along with key bite-sized highlights. Hosts then decide how to use this information — on-air, online, or across social media — eliminating the hassle of searching for content manually.”
Barix to Add SRT Connectivity to LX400 Codecs
The company says this can be a major time-saver especially for hosts working across multiple stations.
Assistant AI also allows stations to pick a voice — AI-generated or cloned — as a co-host. By highlighting parts of the generated content, hosts can create a dynamic back-and-forth dialogue with an AI voice in live or voice-tracked settings.
The company’s Andrew Scaglione said, “As the industry seeks greater efficiency through technology, Assistant AI strikes the perfect balance between a traditional prep service and fully AI voice tracked dayparts.” He said it helps deliver tailored, station-specific content, enhancing productivity and efficiency.

Thimeo Announces RuleBreaker Final Clipper
According to Thimeo Audio Technology, the new RuleBreaker final clipper does what traditional clippers won’t.

For decades, the company notes, final clippers have been the secret weapon of radio processing, but when pushed too hard, they cause distortion on the air. The RuleBreaker is designed to avoid this trade-off.
“Normally, the left-minus-right section of the composite signal is symmetrical. That’s just how it’s always been,” Thimeo said in its announcement.
“We realized that by intentionally introducing asymmetry, we could push more audio through without clipping. In the new design we have taken this to the next level by adding a lot more intelligent analytics to reduce the amount of clipping. In other words, we’re breaking the old rules to make your station sound louder and cleaner.”
Hans Van Zutphen said the design provides 2 dB to 3 dB of extra loudness without a distortion tradeoff.
“Not only that, but we changed the rules when it comes to IMD protection also, which means cleaner sound, lower distortion and massively improved bass definition.” It says the result is a silky-smooth sound with more punch in the low frequencies.
Thimeo said Angry Audio has licensed the RuleBreaker clipper for its new StereoToolBox.
