LG Rolls Out 136-inch MicroLED Display

BOOTH W2125 The 136-inch MicroLED LG MAGNIT display (model LAAA015) delivers immersive and eye-popping visuals that make every viewing experience memorable. It leverages LG’s leading chip-on-board technology whereby the LED chips are embedded directly on the printed circuit board with seven layers for protective, antireflective, fingerprint resistant coating making this outstanding image reproducing system also remarkably robust.

The MicroLEDs are about the width of a human hair which de-clutters the surface of the display and enables LG to increase the total black area,

greatly enhancing contrast with deeper blacks. It also features LG’s innovative Chip Transfer and Surface Treatment Technology to enhance white uniformity and reduce color distortion across a wide viewing angle.

The 136-inch screen is offered as an all-in-one package including an embedded controller and built-in speaker. Eliminating the prejudice that LED displays are difficult and complex to install, it doesn’t require controller connections or module configuration. After a simple installation process, all you need to do is to turn on the screen with a remote control like a home TV.

Brook Casino Scales Up AV With Allen & Heath AHM

THE BROOK in New Hampshire is America’s largest charity casino, featuring the biggest sports book in New England, more than 500 casino gaming machines, a poker room, and an array of table games. The sprawling 75-acre property also boasts an outdoor deck, state-of-the-art showroom, banquet space, and a full-service restaurant.

When it came to upgrading its AV systems, the casino’s staff opted for Allen & Heath’s audio matrix processor, AHM, to provide scalable, quality sound distribution while keeping end-user controls friendly and simple.

With an AHM-64, The Brook has plenty of room for current growth projections and any plans they may develop in the future. An AR2412 networked stagebox provides an expandable 24 mic/ line inputs and 12 outputs for the system, in addition to the 12 local inputs and 12 outputs on the

AHM itself. A Dante module was also added to the system for future-proofing and further expansion.

Since the system’s initial installation, The Brook has added two additional zones with at least three more to come in the future. Thanks to AHM’s audio playback feature, The Brook now runs audio ads throughout the day.

“The system lets us load in an audio file that will describe to our guests our upcoming promotions, concerts, and events,” says a Brook employee. “It triggers throughout the day every 90 minutes. The system is so configurable that it lets us select which zones the ads run in, have a different volume per zone based on that zone’s acoustic environment, trigger them at the set times, and then go right back to our normal programming. It is absolutely incredible what we can do with the AHM.”

Your Signal

The Catapult System

Radial's Catapult range takes advantage of a little-known audio trick – but one which opens up endless applications – the ability to send four channels of analog audio over a single Cat 5/6 cable. This feature gives you the chance to streamline and economize your setups by a factor of four, by eliminating the need for bulky multi-channel audio snakes, and allows you to take advantage of pre-wired networks to connect from one room to another.

Catapult modules require no power to operate, and since they keep the signal in the analog realm, no digital conversion is necessary. Straight-wire connection from the XLRs to the RJ45 connector on a Cat 5 cable ensures that your audio passes through without coloration or distortion.
