Mardi Gras Film Festival On Tour
FUSE IS THRILLED TO BE THIS YEAR’S MEDIA SPONSOR FOR THE 2023 MARDI GRAS FILM FESTIVAL ON TOUR, WHICH WILL BE SHOWING AT THE NATIONAL FILM AND SOUND ARCHIVE 24 – 25 MARCH.
This year’s lineup will include In From the Side, The Venus Effect, seven of the festival’s best LGBTIQ+ short films and a special showing of nine films as part of the Stephen Cummins Retrospective Gala. Follow the QR code for trailers and screening details.
In From The Side
In From the Side is a captivating drama exploring an illicit affair between two partnered members of a South London gay rugby club. During a drunken encounter, newbie Stags rugby player Mark sleeps with the seasoned A-squad hottie Warren, whilst Warren’s boyfriend is also on the team. What follows is a passionate concealed love affair that takes them from the locker room to the bedroom, testing the emotional resolve of both men. Don’t miss this sizzling crowd pleaser.

Stephen Cummins Retrospective Gala
Stephen Cummins (1960-1994) was an Australian filmmaker, curator, artist and co-founder of Queer Screen who left an indelible mark on queer cinema. Celebrate his influential career with a presentation of his complete works featuring nine short films that have been digitised, restored and remastered.
