Calendar January 2012 Fun Around Town Winter Activities

Over 1000 listings of kids activities in the greater Gainesville area Happy New Year!!! Whew, after all the activities and events in October, November and December, you may be thankful that there are so few events happening this month. January is a great time to check out some of the ongoing programs and classes for kids you’ve heard about but have never had time to do. (See page 6.) If you have a child between 2 and 4, this is the time of year to start thinking about preschools. Most preschools start registering students for the fall in late January or early February. (See the link for the preschool directory to the right.) Many after-school arts and sports programs begin classes this month. (Check out pages 10 and 12 for details. ) Did you know you can save money at local businesses, just by mentioning fun4gatorkids.com? (Check out the Hot Local Deals listings on pp20-21.)
