As I sit down out on our porch to write this issue’s Letter from the Editors; there’s a chill in the air, which can only mean that winter is on its way to the Midwest. With winter, come the holidays & festivities with friends & loved ones… These last few weeks have been hard on us here at the FTM office, hard on myself in particular. The loss of my beloved Grandfather has taken a toll on me greatly. Although I know my Grandpa is in a much better place now, the loss of a loved one is never an easy road. I’d just like to take a moment to thank our friends & family, as well as all of you that have sent well wishes our way. It is comfort just knowing that there are people out there thinking of you. George W. Russell was a man like no other. A WWII veteran, that earned a Purple Heart in battle as well as a Bronze Star, among other awards. He was a wonderful Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, & Great Great Grandfather. R.I.P. Grandpa. We love & miss you so much. On a brighter note, Full Throttle Midwest Magazine is celebrating a milestone, a 5 Year Anniversary! Come out to Elmos Bar (2925 Lemay Ferry Rd. St. Louis MO) on November 11th… 11-11-11 to help us celebrate 5 wonderful years. Live music by The Hail Mary’s & HUSH!!! The party starts at 7pm & doesn’t end ‘til they kick us out! See ya at the Anniversary Party!
