SUMMER FASHION ISSUE 2016

FSHN: How do you get inspired of what to wear and blog next? UO: When it comes to choosing clothes I never think about what other will think – if it will look like “too much” for where I am going etc. I want to be stylish and practical at the same time, I’m not that type of guy who wears jeans and a t-shirt because I’m thinking that “I will be at work the whole day.” I think every moment in life is worth looking good for. As I said above, I get a lot of my inspiration from David Beckham and George Clooney. FSHN: Who is Umit when there are no cameras around? What do you do in your spare time? UO: I work as an insurance agent and also as a personal trainer whenever I have spare time. When I’m not at work I shoot for my Instagram account and I spend a lot of my time with my family and fiancée. I am really interested in entrepreneurship, personal leadership and as you already know; fashion. FSHN: Lately, a lot of young guys are starting their own menswear blog with more or less success. What is your recommendation and advice for them? UO: Be yourself! As I mentioned in the beginning; my first few pictures were from my everyday life. I shared

and people liked it. I didn’t try to look like someone else; I think this is really important to think about. It’s a big difference between being inspired and copying. Those who see your pictures will see it quickly. Shortly: have your own style, wear what you like. You can have your uncle’s sweat and match that with a pair of nice pants and still look fabulous! You don’t have to always have the most popular things. If you like it, wear it. Pictures with good quality are another important thing to think about if you take your blogging seriously; it makes a difference. FSHN: What are three must-have items that every fashion-conscious guy should have in his wardrobe this season? UO: White trousers, double breasted blazer and cotton linen shirt. FSHN: What are your next projects and goals? UO: My biggest project right now is to move to Germany and build a life with my fiancée. A future goal of mine is to maybe one day to have my own brand in fashion industry. To connect with Umit , check out his Instagram @umitobeyd
