The company was launched in March 2007 but family Van der Zwaard has been active in the fruit and vegetable market for 3 generations thus bringing a great amount of expertise and experience to the business. A large variety of products of excellent variety is offered varying from citrus, apples, kiwis and grapes to salads, herbs and tomatoes. The provenance of the fruits and vegetables is mainly from countries around the Mediterranean, but to be able to offer products all year round Wilko Fruit also imports from other continents such as South America and South Africa.

Wilko Fruit only collaborates with GlobalGAP certified growers. Suppliers are visited at least once every year to be able to guarantee excellent quality and to update them on market related issues and requirements. Wilko Fruit is also IFS and BRC certified. Direct lines with top suppliers and a lean and flexible organisation make sure that all customer needs can be satisfied quickly and efficiently. The homebrand of Wilko Fruit is “Gaudias”, Latin for “Lots of pleasure”, but if desired it is also possible to pack products under a private label. Wilko Fruit is located at IABC 5212 (International Agro Business Center) in Breda, an excellent location from a logistic point of view, close to the motorway and with excellent traffic connections. The warehouse of Wilko Fruit comprises 3,000 m2 of climatised storage space and the average turnover of stock is 2.7 days.
